Buddy Guy With Brandy Zdan to Perform at the Musco Center for the Arts

Musco Center for the Arts at Chapman University presents legendary blues icon, Buddy Guy with Brandy Zdan on March 14 at 7:30pm.

Arguably the world’s leading Blues artist, Buddy Guy is a seven-time GRAMMY Award winner, Kennedy Center and National Medal of Arts honoree, inductee to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and icon of Chicago Blues. Born in Louisiana, he headed to Chicago in 1957 and was discovered by composer Willie Dixon while performing at 708 Club. Through Dixon, Guy landed a contract as a guitarist with Chess Records, and worked with legendary musicians including Howlin’ Wolf and Muddy Waters prior to recording his solo albums. His music influenced iconic artists, including Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, and John Mayer. According to the Chicago Tribune, “Guy was, and IS, the king. The hottest ticket in town, and for good reason.”

Brandy Zdan has garnered acclaim as half of the gothic folk/roots duo Twilight Hotel, a formidable multi-instrumentalist who toured and recorded with the all-girl band The Trishas, and as a solo artist. Her self-titled album showcases an affinity for writing mature indie-rock and pop songs.

Tickets for March 14 are on sale now for $50-95 and may be purchased through the Musco Center online at or by calling the box office at 844-OC-MUSCO (844-626-8726). All print-at-home tickets include a no-cost parking pass. Musco Center for the Arts is located on the campus of Chapman University at 415 North Glassell, Orange, Calif.
