Candy Mine at Miners Diner Julian

Miners Diner

When I was dining at the Miners Diner in Julian, I noticed a whole in the wall with steps leading down and an arrow pointing towards it saying, “Come see our Candy Mine!” I was a little curious about what it was going to be, so I asked my parents if I could go down there to check it out. When I was walking down the steps, I started to smell candy immediately.

Entering the Candy Mine

When I got down the steps, I was so overwhelmed by all the candy! They had literally every type of candy there I could imagine. It was probably the coolest thing I had seen in Julian (other than the real mine I had just finished visiting.) I was excited. I stayed down in the candy mine for at least ten minutes before I ran back up the stairs to get my brothers to show them the Candy Mine.

For holding the candy that you want to purchase they had little buckets that looked like the buckets miners used to carry gold. The restaurant was pretty full, but the candy mine was not.

Candy Mine

The Candy Mine is a great place to escape the jam-packed restaurant and buy some of your favorite candies while you are waiting for your lunch or dinner. The Candy Mine had all of the “Old Fashioned” candy, and candy that you typically don’t see in the regular candy stores on the street.

The Candy Mine is totally a sight to see. There is candy everywhere, and I don’t think there was one speck of the wall that didn’t have candy hanging on it. Even if you don’t get a table at the restaurant, I would still go into the Miners Diner to visit the Candy Mine. The Candy Mine is something you can’t miss while visiting Julian.

Inside the Candy mine

The Candy Mine is FREE to go into (please note the candy is not free). The Candy Mine is located in Miners Diner at, 2134 Main St. Julian, CA, 92036. Miners Diner has more amazing features, like the original soda fountain. Miners Diner is a “Do not miss hot spot” in Julian.
