Puppy Pals Family Movie Night

Posted by on Apr 18, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Sponsored Our family loves to get together and have a family movie night. Puppy Pals is my youngest sons favorite, so when I got a copy of their newly released DVD, I planned a Puppy Pals family movie night. Before watching the movie, my son got out his stuffed Puppy Pals, and we all came together in the living rooms for an entertaining night together. The DVD features your kids favorite Puppy Pals as they take families on an unforgettable adventure. The one thing that I like about Puppy Pals is that it isn’t just for toddlers like many would think, and it is even entertaining for my teenagers. They’re cute, cuddly and all collared up for pup-tacular adventures!  While their owner Bob is away, adorable puppy brothers Bingo and Rolly embark on exciting missions stretching from their own...

Girls Night In with Forever My Girl

Posted by on Apr 16, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Sponsored The one film genre that I can’t seem to get enough of is romance films. My favorite thing to do on a quiet evening is to relax in our living room with my daughter watching a movie. This past weekend, we got some of our favorite foods and sat down together to watch Forever My Girl. The movie is based on the first book of the New York Times and USA Today best-selling series ‘The Beaumont,’ by Heidi McLaughlin. The story is about a country music superstar (Liam) who leaves his bride at the altar, choosing fame and fortune instead of her. The only problem is that Liam never quite got over his first love, and when he unexpectedly returns to his hometown, he finds himself torn between his two worlds. The heartfelt movie is one that you’ll...

Cinderella Ballet at the Irvine Barclay Theatre

Posted by on Apr 11, 2018 in Ballet, Entertainment | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of the venue Cinderella is a classic fairy tale, and it also happens to be one of my favorite fairy tales ever. I have seen Cinderella in many different forms of production including musical theater, ballet, hip-hop, movies, etc. But, I think ballet is one of my favorite forms to watch this story told is through ballet. I have seen many ballets of Cinderella before, and they were all amazing, but seeing it performed by the Maple Conservatory of Dance at the Irvine Barclay Theatre & Cheng Hall has one has to be one of my favorites. I already knew I was going to like it when I started reading the program and saw a few familiar names. As soon as the first act started, I was immersed in an entirely different version of...

Posted by on Apr 9, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the studio I have grown to love driving to Los Angeles to see a new movie debut and its stunning premiere. It has become a tradition for my mom and me to pick out dresses together and spend the day getting dressed up, so when my mom told me that we were invited to the Pandas IMAX movie premiere, I was so excited. When she advised me that this premiere was for a new movie all about the lives of pandas in the wild, I was over the moon with excitement. I’m not sure if anyone knows this about me, but cute, cuddly pandas are one of my favorite animals. So when I found that we were going to the premiere of a Pandas IMAX movie I was beyond happy. My mom and...

Posted by on Mar 30, 2018 in Entertainment, Theatre | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue One of my favorite things to do in Orange County is to see a show at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts. The Segerstrom Center for the Arts has made musicals one of my new favorite obsessions. When I started out the season this year with Something Rotten, I didn’t think any show could beat that. Well, I was very wrong. The Book of Mormon was one of the funniest theatre productions I have ever seen in my entire life. Not only was I laughing the entire time, but I also found myself getting emotional during the sad parts. There was a perfect balance of emotion, and I think I laughed more than one hundred times during the performance. The characters made everything come together so perfectly and this for sure...

A Wrinkle in Time will Inspire and Empower Girls

Posted by on Mar 7, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended a screening/interview as a guest of Disney I am an Iranian-American. I was born in Iran and immigrated to America right around the Iran hostage crisis.  It was hard having a name like mine, look the way I did, feeling the way I did.  I was different and different was bad.  With few friends, I turned to books and movies to past the time.  From that my love of fantasy rose as did my hope that one day if I ever had children they would not go through what I did, that somehow a person who is different is as accepted as one who is considered the norm.  As an Iranian-American woman, I have sat back quietly watching as history-making events have unfolded before me.  From the Woman’s March to the Me Too movement, history is being made...

We attended during the Disney Social Media Moms Conference I am a huge theatre lover. Ever since I started school at the Orange County School of the Arts, the theatre has become a giant part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. When I did some research about our upcoming trip on the Disney Dream Cruise Line, and I discovered that there was going to be a theatre on the ship, and I was so excited. Next, I looked into it more and learned that they would be doing a live musical production of Beauty and the Beast, and I couldn’t wait to see it. When we boarded the cruise, I was counting down the nights until Beauty and the Beast, which (lucky for me) was on the second night. Our dinner was at...

We attended as a guest of the venue The Lincoln Center Theater Production presents the highly-acclaimed Rodgers & Hammerstein’s, The King and I, directed by Bartlett Sher at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts from February 27th through March 11th. I had the honor of attending the opening night of the production with my oldest son and was captivated by the story, the music, and the acting. The production is based on Margaret Landon’s novel, Anna and the King of Siam (1944). My son and I took our seats in the theater, and the minute that the curtain rose, we were entranced. Through the beauty of music, we were told the story of Anna Leonowens who was a British teacher to the children of King Mongkut of Siam in the early 1860s. The love the King and Anna Leonowens...

When we heard about Black Panther, my brothers totally flipped and couldn’t wait to watch it. My mom and I actually had to keep it a secret that we were going to see the movie before them. When we first got to the Studio Lot, we went and found parking and then walked to the theater to see the film. Having watched all the trailers for the movie hours before at dinner, we were...

We visited as a guest of Disney The morning after seeing the all-new film, Black Panther, I was given a unique opportunity of meeting with the cast. The film was so phenomenal, and a true cinematic masterpiece, that I was eager to sit down with the cast to hear more about what it was like making the film. The first thing we talked about was how amazing the film turned out. Lupita Nyong’o said, “I’d been waiting a long time for this. I was just so excited, because this was a movie that we all felt a lot of ownership of, and that we thoroughly enjoyed making.” The movie had been trying to be made for such a long time and it was the Director Ryan Coogler who ended up being the one to bring the film to life....
