Sponsored With Christmas just around the corner the movie, I’ll be Next Door for Christmas, needs to be on your Christmas watch list. If you are not convinced enough that you need to watch it allow me to convince you some more by sharing some insight on one of the leading actresses mindset when making the film. I had the honor of having an email interview with the star of the movie, Juliette Angelo. I started out by asking her if she could relate to the Christmas hating character she was, or if any of her family members were like the ones in the movie. She answered with, “I come from a very large, very Italian family who love to go all out for Christmas. Decorations, food, gifts, the works. I can understand what it is like to be...

Teen Review: Holly Star Christmas Movie

Posted by on Dec 9, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Screener provided Since it doesn’t snow where I live, when Christmas rolls around the closest I can get to snow is watching a Christmas film with snow in it. Lucky for me my mom and I watched a movie where the snow was plentiful, and the story was priceless. Holly Star is the ultimate Christmas movie that has everything you would want. The friendly drama, the falling in love, the mystery, and my favorite…THE SNOW!!! The movie is about a young puppeteer who loses her job and goes up to live with her parents for the holidays. There she slips on snow and has visions of Santa Claus burying a bag, and she is determined to find this bag. Along the way she reconnects with the boy she knew and strengths her friendships with the people around her. If...

We attended as a guest of Sony Recently I got to go up to Los Angeles with my two brothers and my mom to watch the new Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse film and attend the world premiere. Spiderman is one of my favorite superheroes, and I have watched almost all of the movies with my comic book loving older brother, so when I realized we were going to the world premiere, we were all so excited! We all put on our fancy red and blue cloths for Spiderman and headed off to LA. When we arrived, we parked and walked into the beautiful theater. Inside the theater, we saw some people we knew from some of our favorite TV shows like Madelaine Petsch from Riverdale. After we got our drinks and popcorn, we went to take a seat in...

Family Movie Night: I’ll Be Next Door for Christmas

Movie kit provided One of our favorite things to do during the holiday season is to sit in front of the fire and enjoy a family movie night. Holiday films are our favorite kind of films, and we recently fell in love with the all-new holiday movie, “I’ll Be Next Door for Christmas.” It is a hilarious family-friendly film that we digitally downloaded to enjoy for many years to come. Before watching the movie, we hung our Christmas lights on the front of the house and then sipped on a warm cup of hot cocoa. Once the last marshmallow in our hot cocoa was gone, we popped some popcorn and got ready to enjoy the movie. The movie reminds me a lot about my family, as we always go all out for the holidays — the more lights on...

Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse Review

Posted by on Dec 5, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended an event as a guest of Sony “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility”. You don’t need to be a Spidey fanatic to know those timeless words. Ever since early days of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, those very first adventures with Spider-Man in Amazing Fantasy, something stuck with us and never failed to impress or inspire. Spider-Man speaks to us all, and through the countless adventures in comic books, video games, and film series, we are still barely discovering the true power and significance of what Lee and Ditko started all those years ago. It’s more than a superhero story, and something that the new film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse takes to heart in ways you can’t possibly imagine. The film is the “ultimate” game changer, breaking the mold in every category in “amazing” and “spectacular” ways....

Beyond Spider-Man, the Power of Family and Inclusion in Spider-Man: Into the Spiderverse

Posted by on Dec 3, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended the interview as a guest of Sony When you see the name Spider-Man, you assume you know the full story: A radioactive spider bites Peter Parker, he flies across the buildings of New York City, and he saves the day from baddies like Green Goblin and Doc Ock time and time again with witty and spectacular charm. The new film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse isn’t that story though, moving away from the classic hero tale we all know. Instead, it opens the door to a more dynamic and diverse universe that dares to take on the mainstream conventions of a superhero film. The cast and crew of the movie, just coming off completion of the final film edits less than two weeks ago, couldn’t wait to share their thoughts on the new picture. It all started with...

I attended a preview as a guest of Disney When the first Wreck-It Ralph came to theaters, I absolutely loved it! My dad and I fell in love with the movie and all the cute and fun characters. We have been waiting for Ralph Breaks the Internet for a long while, and I couldn’t wait to watch the film, so when my mom told me that we were going to go see an early screener in LA, I was counting down the days until I could see the new film. When I sat down to watch the movie the first thing I thought about was all of the trailers I had watched before seeing the film and thinking back to what I was about to watch on the big screen. I gave my brain a quick refresher, and then...

I attended the event as a guest of Disney In anticipation of the upcoming film, Ralph Breaks the Internet, coming out in theaters on Friday, I went to Los Angeles earlier this month to talk with the cast about the making of the film. When the cast of Ralph Breaks the Internet walked into the room, everyone cheered with excitement. We started by talking about how the last film took place six years ago, and everything seemed to have ended really great for Ralph and Vanellope, so why make another film? Rich Moore (Director) said, “We looked at the very last line of the first movie where Ralph says, after going friendless for the whole movie and then finally making a friend. He’s back home and says, ‘if that little kid likes me, how bad can I be?’ And...

From the minute I sat down with my drink and popcorn in the Irvine Spectrum Theater I knew I was going to love the movie. Within the first couple of lines, I could not stop laughing at all of the practical school jokes....

Creating the ‘Netizens’ in Ralph Breaks the Internet

Posted by on Sep 25, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

I attended the interview as a guest of Disney One of my favorite things about Ralph Breaks the Internet are the way the people look in the film. Last month, I had the honor of talking with the character building team Cory Loftis (production designer), Dave Komorowski (head of characters and technical animation), Renato dos Anjos (head of animation) and Moe El-Ali (crowds supervisor) about the process of creating the inhabitants of the internet: “Netizens” and “Net Users. They knew early on from looking at the artwork the team was working on which showed the way the environment would look – that they were looking at a 3-dimensional space which posed a few challenges for the team. Not only do they have to populate one street but also the other streets that you can see either up above or...

Star Wars Teen Movie and Game Night

Posted by on Sep 25, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Sponsored I don’t know about you, but game nights are my favorite kind of nights, especially when game nights are based on one of the best movies. Solo: A Star Wars Story. The film was one of my families favorite Star Wars movies. After hearing that the movie was coming to DVD and BluRay, my brothers and I decided to have a game night, but make it Solo themed. When we were done with playing the game, we would go inside and watch the movie. We first started setting up by taking the Han Solo Monopoly game board and set it up outside on a blanket. We then threw some comfy Chewbacca blankets and pillows to make the space even more comfortable. We then waited for the sun to set and began our family game night. My little brother...

Lightsaber Training with ‘Star Wars’ Voice of Darth Maul

Posted by on Sep 24, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

I attended the event as a guest of Disney In celebration of the home release of the film SOLO: A Star Wars Story, I went to Los Angeles to have lunch with Chewbacca and get some lightsaber training from the voice of Darth Maul, Ray Park. Ray Park entered the room holding the same lightsaber that he used when filming SOLO: A Star Wars Story. It was one of the biggest lightsabers that I have ever seen, and he immediately started showing all of us some of his tricks. After giving us an interactive demo on how to use a lightsaber, he invited all of us to try doing some tricks with his lightsaber. I quickly learned that I do not have the skills needed to be a Jedi, but Park took his time to teach me at least...

Top Teen Film: The House with a Clock in Its Walls

Posted by on Sep 21, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Sponsored Since summer is over and I have gone back to school, I have been waiting for a movie to go see with my friends to come out. Seeing movies is something I love to do, and I don’t have a lot of time to do it because of school. When I heard that The House with A Clock in its Walls was coming to the theaters, I was so excited to get together a group of friends and go see it. When I told my mom how excited I was, she surprised me by telling me that a friend and I would be able to see one of the first screeners of the new Disney Film. I did some research on the film before going to the theater in LA. I had figured out that one of my...

Creating the Internet World in Ralph Breaks the Internet

Posted by on Sep 20, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Featured, Film | 0 comments

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney The upcoming film, Ralph Breaks the Internet, starts just where the story left off in Wreck it Ralph. The big difference between this film vs. the first is that most of the film takes place “in” the internet. Now, the internet is not an actual “place” that the creators of the film could visit to recreate for the film, and they had to use their imagination to create the magical world of the internet in Ralph Breaks the Internet. Earlier this month, I had the honor of talking with Matthias Lechner (art director, environments), Larry Wu(head of environments) and Ernie Petti (technical supervisor) about how they created the complex metropolis – the internet. In this film there are some sets from the first movie, there are real-world sets, some that...

True Story Behind Adrift

Posted by on Sep 4, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

Advanced copy received I don’t know about you, but movies based on life-changing true stories are my favorite kind. Adrift is the story of Tami Oldham and Richard Sharp as they sail into the worlds most catastrophic hurricane. All the way through the movie I couldn’t stop watching as it switched back and forth between scenes that took place before they set sail and afterward. The film showed how they fell in love and how they got unlucky. Tami Oldham is played by one of my favorite actresses, Shailene Woodley, and Richard Sharp is played by the very talented Sam Clafin. Both of these actors played the parts they were given spot on. Especially with the scenes during the actual hurricane. I watched as they tumbled about the ship and got spit out the other end of the hurricane....

Experience Smallfoot Yeti Village

We attended a sneak preview Embark on a 40-minute adventure through the Smallfoot Yeti Village with your children. Recently, I took my children to Hollywood to experience the Yeti Village, and we had the time of our life. The adventure started with multiple “selfie stations” where your family can take creative photos. The best part is that the staff will take the picture for you, and then you can text or email yourself the photos! If you have teenagers – they are going to love it! After taking photos, my children squealed with delight as they went down a 20′ spiral slide. On the second level, there is a giant “snowball pit,” arts & crafts, karaoke and more. We were completely immersed into the world of Yeti and Smallfoot while at the Yeti Village. The Yeti Village is only...

The Little Mermaid Live-Action Swims into Theaters

We had a preview of the film One of my favorite classic tales is the Little Mermaid. I grew up watching the princess movie. A little bit of time ago I had read the original little mermaid tale and realized it was so different than the Disney film. Mermaid movies are probably one of my favorite types of film to watch because I love the ocean so much myself. When I was younger, I used to pretend like I was a mermaid while swimming the sea. My mom showed me the trailer for the new Little Mermaid film, and I wanted to watch it so badly. I even asked her of there was any way we could watch it soon. We got a digital link to watch the movie so that we could stay in the comfort of our...

Romantic Summer Comedy: Crazy Rich Asians

I attended a screening as a guest of the studio My mom showed me the trailer for the movie, Crazy Rich Asians a few months ago, and ever since then, I have literally been counting down the days until we would be able to go see it. Based off of the book, Crazy Rich Asians is probably one of my new favorite movies. With the romance, drama, and comedy it is honestly one of the best films that have hit the theaters for a long time. It has the most beautiful storyline, and the characters are perfect for the roles they are portraying. When films are based off of books, it is hard to get the movie just right. The movie is either too similar to the book or too different, but Crazy Rich Asians were neither. I also...

We attended as a guest of Disney Disney Channel Movies have always been my absolute favorite television network. From Teen Beach Movie to Descendants, they are constantly on my list of top favorite movies. When I first starting seeing the commercials and sneak peeks on Disney Channel I immediately put the date that Freaky Friday would air on my calendar. The same day the movie was going to air we got an invite to go to a Freaky Friday party at the Disney Channel corporate headquarters and see the film a few hours earlier than the rest of the world. We arrived at the headquarters and my brothers and I were so happy to see the assortments of candy and food laid out for us in a special viewing room. We got some popcorn, candy and nachos and talked...

I asked my mom if we could see it when it came out, and she surprised me by telling me that we would get to attend an early screener and then go the press junket and premiere during the following days. I was so excited! There are three reasons in this story that I hope will convince you to watch the adorable movie and love it just as much as I do. 1. The movie is based on the different people of LA and their relationships with their dogs. I love that because there is more than...

Let’s Talk Dog Days with The Cast of the Film

Posted by on Aug 7, 2018 in Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

We attended the interview as a guest of the studio Dog Days is the new comedy of the summer that I can guarantee will have you laughing, crying and utterly loving every minute of the film. Part of the reason that the movie is so well made and hilarious is the fantastic cast that were in the movie. I had the amazing opportunity to speak with the cast members about their individual experiences while working on the film. From the moment the cast stepped into the room, they were cracking jokes and making everyone in the room laugh. The first question of the interview was if any of the cast members developed a higher level of love for dogs than they had before creating the movie. Tone Bell who plays “Jimmy” in the film answered with, “I would probably...

I attended as a guest of the studio Who doesn’t love dogs? Unless you are a huge cat person, then these cute little (and big) dogs are easy to love and become best friends with. The new film Dog Days is based all on the people of LA and their furry friends. Throughout the movie, you witness the stories of all the diverse people that live in LA have different experiences with their dogs. Yesterday morning, after awaking at the beautiful LAX Marriott with my Mom and went to Beverly Hills to have the fantastic opportunity to attend the Dog Days premiere where I would get to watch the film with the entire cast (human and dog) and walk down the blue carpet. When we arrived at the beautiful Westfield Century City where the premiere would take place we...

Finding Your Way Home with Christopher Robin

Posted by on Aug 3, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 1 comment

I attended a screening as a guest of Disney Have you ever felt lost? Alone? Forgotten? It has been a feeling that I have been experiencing a lot this year, and why when I saw Christopher Robin, as an adult feeling lost, it made the movie so relatable to my current life situation. In the movie, Christopher Robin finds himself working so hard, not having enough time to spend with his wife and daughter, and struggling to find balance – and happiness. Meanwhile, back in the Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie-the-Pooh awakes from his slumber to find that the once sunny Hundred Acre Wood was now gloomy, dark, and he was all alone. I’ve been trying to spend as much time as possible with my friends and family, and trying to avoid that dark and painful feeling of being alone....

It has been nine years since I last visited my family in London.  We are a close-knit bunch and spend every day together.  The last time we were there my children were 1 and 4 which meant that every day was spent in a park.   My aunt Barbara told us about this enchanting park that she felt the children would love so we headed out to Aldenham Country Park in Hertfordshire to visit the 100 Aker Wood.  Now if that sounds a bit familiar it may be due to a little song that starts off like this: Deep in the hundred acre wood Where Christopher Robin plays, you will find the enchanted neighborhood of Christopher’s childhood days A donkey named Eeyore is his friend. And Kanga and little Roo. There’s Rabbit. and Piglet And there’s Owl But most of...

Teen Titans Go! To the Movies Voice Recording

You can imagine his surprise when he found out that he would be attending an advance screening of the film, and got the unique opportunity to voice over for one of his favorite characters, Beast Boy. We arrived at the Warner Brothers Studio lot, and there was a red carpet that led into the theater. Press lined the carpet taking pictures of all the guests arriving at the premiere. My kids were overwhelmed with excitement as we entered the theater where we would take our seats to be one of the first to see the feature film, “Teen Titans Go! To The Movies.” The movie was hilarious, and my children...

I attended a screening as a guest of Disney When the first Ant-Man movie came out, my brothers and I were so excited for a new Marvel character that we already knew we were going to love it. I watched it for the first time and immediately fell in love with the ant-sized superhero. When I started seeing the previews for Ant-Man and The Wasp I was so excited to see where the old movie left off. There are three reasons why I enjoyed this sequel so much. Number 1: The movie is so close to reality that it was so easy to understand and fun to watch. Most other superhero movies take place in a completely different setting than the modern world, so it’s effortless to connect with the things that are happening in the film. A majority...

Talking with the Cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp

Posted by on Jul 2, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 1 comment

We attended the event as a guest of Disney Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fantastic sequel to the first Ant-Man movie and a must-see for all parents and children. I recently had the privilege of going to Pasadena and speaking with the cast of the new film, and I can assure you they had a lot of fun things to say. One of my favorite features of the movie was all the comedy and how much I laughed during the film. Even during the serious parts someone almost always said something to lighten the mood. The cast made me laugh once more when Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp) said about Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) who helped write the script, “His best lines in the movie are not on the script.” Knowing that not all of the comedic lines weren’t scripted...

When my teenagers (who were toddlers when the original film was released) found out that they were making The Incredibles 2, they couldn’t wait until the day it would be released into theaters. I had the honor of taking them to an early screening of the film, and they loved it even more than the first film. The next day, I got to sit down with the cast and talk about the making of the film. All of the characters in The Incredibles 2 have such distinguished voices. Hearing the voices of my favorite characters come out of someone other than “The Incredibles” threw me off a bit. I have interviewed celebrities who have done voice over work...

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney One of my favorite movies of the year has been “A Wrinkle in Time.” I loved the lighting, the acting, and the message behind the story. While in Los Angeles last month, I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with one of the stars of the film, Deric McCabe. If you aren’t familiar with McCabe, he is a hilarious young boy who plays the role of Charles Wallace Murry in the movie. The minute that I entered the room, McCabe offered to show us some of his talents and did a couple of cartwheels around the room. The young actor is vivacious, full of energy, and he made every minute of the interview so much fun. Once he took his seat and we got started talking about the...

While in Los Angeles earlier this month celebrating the upcoming release of Peter Pan on Movies Anywhere and Multi-Screen Edition: Blu-ray™ + Digital I got the honor of visiting the Walt Disney Animation Research Library. Before being invited to visit the Animation Research Library, I never even knew that it existed. We were then advised to put all our bags in a conference room in the lobby, and we weren’t allowed to bring anything with us into the research library, even pens. It has been a long time dream of mine to go into his office, and I was immersed in the magic of Disney while walking in Walt’s footsteps. Everything in Walt Disney’s office has been placed and preserved precisely how it was when he was alive, and I felt like Walt was right there with us while walking around his office. Since his office isn’t open to the public, I took as many photos as possible to give all of you an inside look into what his office looked like when he was alive. Enjoy this magical photo tour, and experience the...
