KHS in IRL Epic Concert

Posted by on Nov 15, 2017 in Autos, Events, Kia, Music, Uncategorized | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of Kia Anyone who watches YouTube and loves music knows who KHS (Kurt Hugo Schneider), Sam Tsui and Alyson Stoner are. They are three of the most talented young musicians who create beautiful melody together and recently starred in their first Kia Rio commercial combining music with autos. This past weekend, the rising stars hosted a free concert for their fans in Los Angles, and we were two of the lucky people to get tickets to their sold out private concert. When we arrived at the concert in our Kia Sorento, the valet took our keys, and we entered the hipster venue for a night that we would never forget. The night started on the outdoor patio where guests had t-shirts custom screen printed, played carnival games and enjoyed tasty bites from two food...

Posted by on Nov 14, 2017 in Cool Places, Entertainment, Family, Film, Music | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue One of my parent’s favorite things to do when I was a child was to have a date night at the Hollywood Bowl. I always thought that my husband and I would follow in their footsteps, but life gets busy when raising three children, and it finally worked out with our schedule to make our first visit to the Hollywood Bowl this past weekend. While I thought my first visit to the Hollywood Bowl would be a date night, we ended up bringing the kids for an unforgettable night under the stars for Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. We got box tickets (which I highly recommend when coming with young children). We left early and planned to arrive right when the gates opened, which again, I recommend doing when bringing your...

Ultimate 80’s Road Trip Playlist

Posted by on Aug 21, 2017 in Autos, Kia, Music | 0 comments

Vehicle provided by Kia Our summer has been full of epic road trips exploring the world in a beautiful Kia Sorento. One of my favorite features in the Sorento is the Infinity soundsystem that allows me to blast my favorite tunes as loud as I want without the fear of blowing out the speakers. While on our road trips, the radio in our Kia seemed to be always set on the 80’s on 8, and my kid’s and I sung along to countless awesome 80’s songs. The summer might be over for my two older kids, but my youngest still has a couple more weeks of summer to explore. That means another road trip! Since my older music loving son won’t be with me to share his Pandora playlist or sing together off tune to our favorite songs, he...

We attended as guests Disney’s The Lion King Sing Along at The Greek Theater in Los Angeles, California. The Greek Theater is located in the beautiful Los Angeles hills of Griffith Park. Our family was so excited to see this Disney Classic and sing all of the songs you know and love from The Lion King as we watched the movie at The Greek Theater. As we entered the venue, we were greeted and took our photo with Rafiki in the Cubs’ Corner. Here the kids snacked on chicken skewers, fruit, popcorn, and water. You could also get your face painted like The Lion King himself. From there we headed over to the VIP Fandango Lounge for some food & drinks hosted by Fandango. The Fandango Lounge is a woodsy patio nestled in the trees where we could sit...

We visited as a guest of the venue The Gospel Brunch at the House of Blues Anaheim is back! Yes, and it’s a toe tapping, let your spirit be free and enjoy the good vibes kind of Sunday morning Brunch! If you walk in feeling down, you’ll walk out feeling up! The show will bring warmth to your soul and a smile to your face. I had my sister join me in celebration of her recent birthday, and I certainly scored good sister points. Just seeing her dance, sing, clap, and smile during the show warmed my heart. The real fun came when the gospel singers invited those celebrating a birthday or an anniversary on to the stage. Everyone danced, the room was filled with enormous energy while the audience stood clapping, singing and capturing photos of friends and...

When we walked into the gift lounge, we were greeted with a glass of champagne filled with 24k gold flakes. As we sipped on our glass of champagne, we stopped to talk with the different vendors about the various products they were gifting the celebrities. We saw many singers walking around the lounge talking with the various companies about their products and collecting gift bags filled with...

Posted by on Sep 2, 2016 in Entertainment, Events, Music | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of the venue We had the opportunity to see Grammy award winning artist Kenny Loggins at the Hyatt Regency Newport Beach Summer Concert Series on Friday evening. He performed inside the Hyatt’s Back Bay Amphitheater that overlooked Newport Beach’s Back Bay. The show started at 8 pm so we were able to watch the sun set behind the bluffs where it illuminated the water with a beautiful bright orange color. The temperature dropped to a comfortable 70 degrees so a light sweater was nice to have if you get cold. The venue was sold out and sat about 1,200 guests. The Back Bay Amphitheater was a very intimate venue where you feel like your having a one-on-one concert with the artist. This was our first time attending the Back Bay Amphitheater and seeing Kenny...

We attended as a guest of Verizon On Friday, I went to my official first concert, the iHeart Radio/KIIS-FM Jingle Ball! I still can’t believe it. Almost all my favorite singers and DJ’s were there. I went with my mom, and I have to say it was probably the best first concert ever! I had a blast singing and dancing along to all the songs I knew. The Staples Center was probably the most energetic place in the world throughout the entire evening. When we first got into the Staples Center, I was literally bursting with excitement. As we made our way over to our seats, I was already so overwhelmed with joy. Then I saw where we were sitting; I almost fell right down the steps as I said to my mom “These our seats!” I was so...

Dancing & Music Spectacular: Opposing Forces at the Segerstrom Center for the Arts

Posted by on Jan 31, 2015 in Entertainment, Music, Theatre | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of the SCFTA When you reach the intersection of hip hop, modern and contemporary, you find the choreography of Amy O’ Neal. Opposing Forces, a performance exploring gender roles, is part of the Segerstrom Center for the Arts’ Off Center Festival. World class B-Boy dancers, Alfredo Vergara (aka “Free”), Brysen “Just Be” Angeles, “Fever One”, Michael O’Neal, Jr. and Mozes Lateef exuded athleticism and emotion. Always powerful, they knew when to push and when to hold back with each piece. The movement was strong and expressive, even when they were exploring the “soft” side of the hip-hop world. Ms. O’Neal’s choreography was a blend of styles, with each piece conveying a message about the masculine and feminine roles through the lens of hip hop. At times upbeat, and other times dark, the performance explored...

Elijah Kelley on Music, Philanthropy and the Strange Magic of Love

Posted by on Jan 22, 2015 in Disney, Entertainment, Film, Music | 0 comments

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney Elijah Kelley portrays the role of my favorite character, Sunny, in the upcoming film “Strange Magic.” I fell in love with heart and soul of the character and after sitting down to talk with Kelley, he played a huge part in bringing the character to life. It was the first time that Kelley had done a voiceover role, and it was a little bit of a challenge for him. “I thought it was going to be easy; I thought it was going to be a piece of cake. It was like doing P90X bringing to life and understanding the world that Sunny lives in,” said Kelley. In the film, Sunny is in love with the character Dawn and has trouble expressing his love for her. All of us can relate...
