We visited as a guest of Disney Pixar Fest is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort, and one of our favorite things about the festive celebration of friendship is all the tasty food offerings. Pixar Fest is happening at both Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park until September 3rd, and these are some of our favorite dishes that your family will want to try when coming to the Disneyland Resort for the celebration. Cheeseburger Pizza Alien Pizza Planet (Tomorrowland) When I first heard of this combination, I was hesitant to try it at first. But, the minute that I sunk my tastebuds into it, I was in heaven. A Perfect 24 Hours in New York City

Posted by on Apr 11, 2018 in Autos, Featured, Kia, New York, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of Kia After having an eventful day at the New York Auto Show for the unveiling of the all-new 2019 Kia Optima and K900, I had an unforgettable 24 hours in New York City. The perfect day in NYC started with a short walk from the Soho Grand Hotel to Jack’s Wife Freda for breakfast. The adorable cafe is located in the heart of lower Manhattan and has a fresh and healthy menu. There were so many delicious choices to choose from on the menu, making it hard to pick just one. While I can never normally resist a delicious benny, it was the poached eggs with grilled tomato and haloumi that tantalized my taste buds. The dish was light, refreshing and the perfect meal to start that day in NYC. Raindrops were slowly...

We visited as a guest of the venue One of our favorite family Spring Break traditions is to experience BubbleFest at Discovery Cube OC. My kids are now 16, 14 and 11, and I had a hard time getting them to leave BubbleFest – they were enjoying it that much. This year, BubbleFest is located inside of Discovery Cube OC, so you don’t have to worry about the weather when planning a visit. The highlight of BubbleFest is The Mega Bubblefest Laser Show. This year was our favorite year seeing the show inside of the plush indoor theatre. During...

Snow Tubing at Mt Baldy

Posted by on Jan 18, 2018 in Cool Places, Family, Featured, Kia, Travel | 0 comments

Vehicle provided by Kia One of my kid’s favorite things to do is go skiing! Unfortunately, we haven’t been lucky enough to get much snow in our local mountains, so during the holiday break, I took my kids to Mt Baldy for the first time to check out their snow tubing. Mt Baldy is a true hidden gem for those who like snow. It is much closer than Lake Arrowhead or Big Bear and is a great skiing facility. The area had not gotten much snow the weekend that we visited, so there was not any snow as we drove up the mountain, but once we got off the chairlift, the ski resort had created a winter wonderland. When there is snow in the area, the ski resort offers skiing, snowboard, and tubing for families to enjoy. The day...

Posted by on Jan 17, 2018 in Autos, Featured, Joshua Tree, Kia, Road Trips, Staycation, Travel | 0 comments

Vehicle provided by Kia My daughter and I love visiting unique and fun places. Recently, a listing on Airbnb caught our attention as a place that we wanted to visit, and we added it to our travel bucket list over a year ago. During the holiday break, I surprised my daughter with an overnight to Joshua Tree to go glamping in a tipi! Joshua Tree is just a short drive outside of Palm Springs, so we packed up our Kia Sorento and got ready for an unforgettable mother/daughter adventure in the desert. Before checking into our tipi for the night, we went into Joshua Tree National Park to look for “heart rock.” We went on a beautiful hike and were lucky to find the mysterious heart-shaped rock. As the sun started to set, we got back into the car...

Little did he know, that he was going to get to meet Paddington himself in person a few minutes later. Once everyone had arrived, we were welcomed into the screening room at The London West Hollywood. The kids were invited to get their favorite candy and bucket of popcorn to...

Posted by on Dec 18, 2017 in Christmas, Disney, Featured, Holiday | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of Disney For the past three years, I have had the esteemed honor of attending the Disneyland Candlelight Ceremony as a guest of the Disneyland Resort. This year was very special to me because the ceremony was held on my birthday. After spending the day interviewing the cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I got dressed up to attend the ceremony with one of my best friends, my daughter Ella. Knowing how popular the traditional event is at the Disneyland Resort, we arrived early and had dinner at the Uva Bar in Downtown Disney before entering Disneyland Park. We enjoyed a delicious steak dinner paired with a fresh, crisp salad, and it was the perfect prelude to our magical evening. Once the time had come, we entered the park and got in line...

Posted by on Dec 14, 2017 in Christmas, Featured, Holiday | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue One of my favorite childhood memories was driving up to the mountains to spend time with my family at Santa’s Village. When I learned that Santa’s Village had finally reopened to the public last year, I wanted to bring my children, but our holiday season was too busy to make the trip. This year, I made it a priority to bring my children to experience the magic of Santa’s Village, and it was an experience that they will never forget. We had thought about spending the weekend in the mountains but decided to make it a day trip in our Kia Sorento. We left early and arrived at Santa’s Village right when they were opening. I signed the waiver, got our tickets, and the fun began. As we entered Santa’s Village,...

We attended as a guest of Disney Earlier in the month, I received an invitation to go to an undisclosed location to meet with the cast of the all-new movie Star Wars: The Last Jedi. The invitation was vague and all the details of the time and location would be disclosed to me the night before. I waited with anticipation before finally receiving my secret instructions on where in Los Angeles I would get the opportunity of a lifetime to meet with the cast of Star Wars: The Last Jedi. When I arrived at the hotel, I was directed towards a hidden escalator that would take me to the top floor. There I would check-in with security and then take my seat in the room where the cast would soon arrive. I waited anxiously with anticipation, and then the...
