It is officially Halloween Time, and taking the kids out to look at lights on houses isn’t just for Christmas. This year, there is an impressive house that is decorated like a pirate ship that you’re not going to want to miss taking the kids to see. The entire front yard of this house in Costa Mesa is a massive pirate ship complete with cannons, skeletons, and lights. Next to the pirate ship house is a super cool spider house. You’ll want to make a couple of slow drives along this street or park the car to admire all the details of this families decorations. Posted by on Oct 24, 2017 in Events, Halloween, Holiday, LegoLand, Theme Parks | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue I have been taking my kids to LEGOLAND for Brick-or-Treat since they were toddlers. I always thought that once my kids became teenagers that they would no longer have an interest in LEGOLAND, but I was wrong. This past weekend, we had a family staycation in Carlsbad, and I had just planned on taking my younger son to Brick-or-Treat, but once my 15-year-old and 13-year-old heard where we were going, they insisted that they come along for the fun. When my two teenagers expressed interest in spending the day at LEGOLAND, I immediately got them tickets and pulled some costumes together for them to join the fun. My teens were overwhelmed with excitement and kept talking about all the rides they were going to go on while on our way to...

Posted by on Oct 24, 2017 in Carlsbad, Halloween, Holiday, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue I have heard a lot about the popular Carlsbad corn maze, and while our family was visiting Carlsbad over the weekend, we decided to make a quick stop to explore the maze before going to brick-or-treat at LEGOLAND. Little to my surprise, it was much more than ‘just a corn maze’ but one of the most largest and elaborate corn mazes I had ever seen. When we arrived at the pumpkin patch, we purchased tickets to enter, explore the maze, and to ride the tractor. Once inside, there were pumpkins everywhere. Our kids took their time to pick out their favorite pumpkin before walking over to explore the maze. In the heart of the pumpkin patch are a lot of things for families to do. There are a lot of photo...

We visited as a guest of the venue During the month of October, Pirates Dinner Adventure has transformed into Vampirate’s Dinner Adventure Show! Your family is invited to embark on the adventure of a lifetime as Captain Sebastian, and the Black’s crew share their story of love and adventure on the high seas. We surprised our kids this past weekend by taking them to the Vampirate’s show, and it was one of their favorite Halloween events yet. We checked into the event and had a family picture taken before entering the building. The room was full of children dressed like pirates (and some vampires) who were enjoying appetizers and drinks before the show. Once it was time for the show to begin, they opened the doors, and the adventure started. We were guided to our chairs where our dinner...

Bring the Magic of Disney Haunted Holiday Home

Posted by on Oct 15, 2017 in Halloween, Holiday | 0 comments

Sponsored Decorating our house for the holidays is one of my favorite things to do. Every year, I am in search of new decorations to add to our collection and to replace the decorations that have weathered over the years. This year, we added a little touch of Disney to our Halloween decorations by adding a Disney Haunted Holiday LED projection spotlight to our home. We got the Haunted Holiday LED projection spotlight themed after our favorite Disneyland Park attraction, Haunted Mansion Holiday. When we turned it on, Oogie Boogie appeared on the front of our house, and our children squealed with delight. The LED projection spotlight spins the Disney projections around on the front of our house in a festive way. It was our first time every trying a LED projection holiday decoration, and it quickly became one...

My two favorite times to go are at Halloween and Christmas. They go all out and will you get you right into the holiday spirit! They even have a relatively new restaurant on site called Farmhouse, that I’m dying to try! I went to Roger’s Gardens with my family a couple of weeks ago to check out this year’s Halloween theme, “MAGIC & MAYHEM.” It was full of magic and mayhem during Halloween time. Roger’s Gardens doesn’t just line up shelves with merchandise; they artfully beautifully arrange...
