Posted by on Oct 3, 2016 in Crafts, Entertainment, Film, Halloween | 0 comments

Sponsored There are many Netflix original series that my kids love to watch, but the one series that they enjoy watching over and over again is All Hail King Julien. The show is hilarious, and one that families can enjoy watching together. As Halloween has quickly approached, and we began discussing different costume options, my son immediately knew that he wanted a King Julien costume. The only problem is that it’s not a costume that can be found in a costume store. So, I put my thinking cap on and started to brainstorm about how I could make him a King Julien costume. Then it was time to start putting the costume together....

Posted by on Nov 9, 2015 in Halloween, Museums | 0 comments

We are a Discovery Cube OC Ambassador Thousands of families from all over Southern California come together at Cal State University Fullerton for the annual Pumpkin Launch hosted by the Discovery Cube OC. This year was bigger and better than ever with more STEM activities, entertainment, food and pumpkin launching. I attended the event this year with my daughter, Ella, and we had the time of our life. We started the afternoon by watching the multiple handmade trebuchets launch pumpkins onto the field. Organizations and families used their creativity to make trebuchets that were sending pumpkins flying in the area before smashing on the ground. It is an epic experience to watch, and the stadium was full of families shouting and cheering with excitement as every pumpkin was launched. Five Trick-or-Treating Safety Tips

Posted by on Oct 30, 2015 in Halloween, Holiday | 0 comments

It’s that time of year when our bellies fill with candy, creepy costumes are adorned, and haunted houses are the norm. However, with all the ghoulish giddiness of the holiday, it’s easy to forget the importance of keeping everybody safe. Be sure to follow these pointers when it comes to trick-or-treating: Go in Groups. Kids should not trick or treat alone. Walk in groups and always have a trusted adult tag along to supervise (depending on the age, of course). Glow With a Light. It’s a good idea to have at least one, if not more, flashlights, glow wear/sticks to help kids see when hitting up the neighbors. Go Slow on the Sidewalk. To prevent an accident, encourage kids to walk, not run—on sidewalks—and look both ways. According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Department, “If there are no...

Ultimate Teen Boy Halloween Costume

Review product received My brother was rethinking dressing up for Halloween this year, and I thought it wouldn’t be fun without him. He is always stressed out about going out to Trick-or-Treating because of his food allergies, and the fact that he usually can’t eat any of the candy. So being the fashionista I am I went on-line and found something that I knew he would like – awesome morph suits. My family and I surprised him with an awesome morph suit, and suddenly he wanted to go trick or treating again with us. He was so happy he wore it for most of the night trying to scare family members. The morph suit isn’t just a regular color morph suit; it’s a monster morph suit. The morph suit has foam teeth and a bunch of cool accessories. It’s...

We pulled into the dirt parking lot and got ready for an amazing afternoon of fun at this special gem of Orange County. When we first arrived, we were greeted by the sweetest people who helped us to select what we were going to purchase tickets to do. They now charge an admission fee, plus fees for all the activities except the corn maze. I decided to go with the admission and tractor ride…coming out to $28 for the three kids and me. Having spent a good amount of money for a tractor ride + admission,...
