For instance, this can increase your house’s value, expand living space, add extra storage space, and more. In fact, you can help the environment by investing in solar power or spend quality time with family and friends in an outdoor kitchen. Posted by on Mar 14, 2021 in Home | 0 comments

You come home after a long day and find toys strewn across the floor. Your teenager is glued to the computer as your younger children are running around screaming at the top of their lungs. You step into the living room to find crumbs in the crevices of your couch and used dishes on the table. The kitchen looks like a disaster zone with food particles, juice spills, and heaven knows what else on the countertops.  Every parent has been here a time or two. You leave the house, and everything is in order; however, it looks like the aftermath of a tornado when you return. The Theory of Everything Premiere in L.A.

Posted by on Nov 7, 2014 in Entertainment, Featured, Film, Home | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of the film I was raised in a home filled with books. My mom was a reader and was interested in a wide variety of topics. Through my high school, college and later years she became especially interested in science, religion, spirituality… and books on these began filling her shelves. I vividly remember visiting my parents one weekend and seeing the newly released “A Brief History of Time”, by Stephen Hawking on her table. Hawking’s picture was on the cover in a motorized wheelchair and on the back of the book were reviews which lauded his ability to think deeply on and shape the discussion of theoretical physics despite his crippling disease. This book moved him from an esteemed physicist known in the academic world to a famous best selling author. While it took...

She Said… She Said on Big Hero 6

Posted by on Nov 7, 2014 in Disney, Entertainment, Featured, Film, Home, Uncategorized | 0 comments

We attended the screening as a guest of Disney By now you’ve probably heard that Disney Animation has brought Marvel’s “Big Hero 6” to the big screen and it’s opening today! Shelby and I both attended screenings separately and we thought it would be fun to compare notes on the movie via a “she said, she said” and share our thoughts on the film. While the movie is loosely based off the comic book series and its characters and while the powers each hero employs are inspired by the Marvel characters, Disney’s Big Hero 6 create their own super-tech powers using their brains and skill sets. It’s a movie that encourages and embraces using intelligence, a great message for kids. The story takes place in San Fransokyo, a hybrid city created by the Disney team, which combines the geography...

Admit it, you’ve been at school drop off and noticed the mom wearing a pair of super cute Tory Burch shoes. For a split second, you felt a tinge of envy, perhaps. Designed in classic American Heritage architecture, the 31 single-family detached homes of Pavilion Park include single-story and two-story floor plans across a variety of price ranges to offer something for everyone – from young couples and families with children to empty nesters and multi-generational...

DIY Cottonelle Clean Routine Decorative Container

Posted by on Jul 26, 2013 in Crafts, Featured, Home | 1 comment

Cottonelle is an important part of my daily beauty clean routine. I use the wet wipes to clean my makeup brushes, removal of my weekly face masks and for a quick facial “refresher.” The wipes have always been delicate enough to not irritate my highly sensitive skin, making it my first choice to be used in my beauty regimen. I love the product, but the white plastic container does not fit in well with my home decor, so I created a DIY project for making the Cottonelle clean routine decorative container a beautiful accent piece in your bathroom. When doing our weekly shopping at Target this past weekend, they had a special where if we purchased two 18 packages of Cottonelle, we would get a complimentary Cottonelle Fresh Care container. We stocked-up our bathroom for the week as part...
