We attended a screening of Disneynature Penguins as a guest of Disney Tomorrow is Earth Day and the day that the world is invited to experience Disneynature’s all-new film, Penguins. Earlier this month, I attended a special screening of the film and a short interview with the Producer Roy Conli. Disneynature films have always been my favorite to watch with my children. The movies take us to places in the world that we most likely will never see and we get to follow the journey of beautiful animals. This year, the Disneynature film is all about penguins. Who doesn’t love penguins? They are so cute, and my kids and I could find ourselves spending hours watching them Sea World. I have always been curious about how they live in the wild, and the movie taught me so much about...

In Partnership with the Disney Book Group One of my favorite things to do with my children before taking them to see a movie is to read a book about the film first. Aladdin is one of my children’s favorite animated films of all-time, and they can’t wait to see the live-action film in theaters May 24th. As the anticipation of the film release has been building in my household, I decided to surprise my kids by reading them the all-new book, “Far from Agrabah” by Aisha Saeed. I thought that it would take a couple of weeks of reading the book to them at bedtime, but we couldn’t stop reading it and finished the book within three nights. The book was magical, and my children had many dreams about Jasmine and Aladdin’s adventures. In the book, Princess Jasmine...

I saw an advanced screening of Dumbo as a guest of Disney One of my favorite childhood movies is Dumbo. When I heard the news that they were making a live-action Dumbo, I was ecstatic! I immediately adored the idea of seeing a little dumbo in live action. And to make it even better it was a Tim Burton film! I went up to Burbank to view a screener of the film, and one of my v v favorite things about it was how it was so close to the original storyline but so different. Universal Studios Hollywood ‘Day of Giving’

The one thing that I love the most about Universal Studios Hollywood is their commitment to giving back to our community. In celebration of November, the month of giving, Universal Studios Hollywood recently hosted a “Day of Giving.” At the beautiful event, employees of Universal Studios Hollywood volunteered their time to make a difference in many young kids lives. We attended the event as a guest of ABC Recently I went onto the set of The Kids are Alright, and we walked around with the actor Caleb Foote (Eddie Cleary) and some of the people behind making the TV Show including Michael Whetsone (Set Director), Claudette Didul (costume designer) and Susan Michalek (line producer). The show is based on a family with ten people. Eight boys and two parents, so you can imagine the crazy set they would have to have to create this epic TV Show ~ to think I complain about our crazy family life? The family is based in the 1970’s, so as you can imagine the set is a very tight house with certain things you would see in an older home. Stuff like old TVs without controllers and other old or “vintage” things....

Guess what? Woody and the rest of the toys are back for an all-new adventure in “Toy Story 4,” welcoming new friends to Bonnie’s room, including a reluctant new toy called Forky. “Like most people, I assumed that ‘Toy Story 3’ was the end of the story,” said director Josh Cooley. “And it was the end of Woody’s story with Andy. But just like in life, every ending is a new beginning. Woody now being in a new room, with new toys, and a new kid, was something we have never seen before. The questions of what that would be like became the beginning of an entertaining story worth exploring.” A teaser trailer slated to debut with “Ralph Breaks the Internet,” in theaters Nov. 21, is available today. I attended as a guest of Disney Dancing with the Stars has been one of my all-time favorite shows on ABC. When I arrived at the popular Pro Dance LA dance studio, there was Brandon Armstrong, Alan Bersten & Gleb Savchenko awaiting our arrival. I got settled in and watched them rehearse the lesson they were going to teach us. The three dancers had so much energy and made the lesson so much fun. The dance they were going to teach us was to one of the popular songs in Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms. Before we started dancing, we had an opportunity to talk with the three...

We got the Incredibles 2 Themed Monopoly, themed Goldfish, and made some Icredibles 2 pizza to go along with our party. We set out a blanket poured some goldfish and let the festivities begin. My brothers and I are very competitive, so we started out by playing the Monopoly Junior game. We all agreed that we loved the themed characters and pieces. It was a day that I will remember forever, and before our lunch, I participated in an interactive flower arranging class. Inside of a giant honeypot, I learned some new tricks and techniques to create the perfect floral arrangement. Some tips that I learned was that when cutting the stems of fresh flowers, you’ll always want to cut it at an angle. Also, you’ll want to put the flower immediately in water after cutting the stem so that the flower can get all the water it needs. Arranging flowers is easier than I thought, and within minutes, I had created...

Disney’s The Nutcracker and the Four Realms Teen Review

The Nutcracker is a timeless tale that everybody loves! Ever since I was a child, I have been going to see the classical ballet, and with Disney’s new Nutcracker and the Four Realms I can watch it in a movie theater! One big twist on the film is that it is not based on the theatre performance, but on the book! Before going to see the movie with my little brother, I read the children’s book and painted my nails with the new OPI Nutcracker collection, just to put me in the holiday mood. My little brother and I were super excited for this movie because we both have our own love for Nutcracker story, and know the original story by heart. He might’ve not seen the ballet as many times as me, but we loved it just the...

Finding Your Way Home with Christopher Robin

Posted by on Aug 3, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 1 comment

I attended a screening as a guest of Disney Have you ever felt lost? Alone? Forgotten? It has been a feeling that I have been experiencing a lot this year, and why when I saw Christopher Robin, as an adult feeling lost, it made the movie so relatable to my current life situation. In the movie, Christopher Robin finds himself working so hard, not having enough time to spend with his wife and daughter, and struggling to find balance – and happiness. Meanwhile, back in the Hundred Acre Wood, Winnie-the-Pooh awakes from his slumber to find that the once sunny Hundred Acre Wood was now gloomy, dark, and he was all alone. I’ve been trying to spend as much time as possible with my friends and family, and trying to avoid that dark and painful feeling of being alone....

Visit Winnie-the-Pooh’s Hundred Acre Wood in England

Posted by on Jul 27, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Featured, Film, Travel | 0 comments

It has been nine years since I last visited my family in London.  We are a close-knit bunch and spend every day together.  The last time we were there my children were 1 and 4 which meant that every day was spent in a park.   My aunt Barbara told us about this enchanting park that she felt the children would love so we headed out to Aldenham Country Park in Hertfordshire to visit the 100 Aker Wood.  Now if that sounds a bit familiar it may be due to a little song that starts off like this: Deep in the hundred acre wood Where Christopher Robin plays, you will find the enchanted neighborhood of Christopher’s childhood days A donkey named Eeyore is his friend. And Kanga and little Roo. There’s Rabbit. and Piglet And there’s Owl But most of...

Ant-Man and The Wasp Teen Review

Posted by on Jul 6, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 0 comments

I attended a screening as a guest of Disney When the first Ant-Man movie came out, my brothers and I were so excited for a new Marvel character that we already knew we were going to love it. I watched it for the first time and immediately fell in love with the ant-sized superhero. When I started seeing the previews for Ant-Man and The Wasp I was so excited to see where the old movie left off. There are three reasons why I enjoyed this sequel so much. Number 1: The movie is so close to reality that it was so easy to understand and fun to watch. Most other superhero movies take place in a completely different setting than the modern world, so it’s effortless to connect with the things that are happening in the film. A majority...

Talking with the Cast of Ant-Man and The Wasp

Posted by on Jul 2, 2018 in Disney, Entertainment, Film | 1 comment

We attended the event as a guest of Disney Ant-Man and the Wasp is a fantastic sequel to the first Ant-Man movie and a must-see for all parents and children. I recently had the privilege of going to Pasadena and speaking with the cast of the new film, and I can assure you they had a lot of fun things to say. One of my favorite features of the movie was all the comedy and how much I laughed during the film. Even during the serious parts someone almost always said something to lighten the mood. The cast made me laugh once more when Evangeline Lilly (The Wasp) said about Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) who helped write the script, “His best lines in the movie are not on the script.” Knowing that not all of the comedic lines weren’t scripted...

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney One of my favorite movies of the year has been “A Wrinkle in Time.” I loved the lighting, the acting, and the message behind the story. While in Los Angeles last month, I had an opportunity to sit down and talk with one of the stars of the film, Deric McCabe. If you aren’t familiar with McCabe, he is a hilarious young boy who plays the role of Charles Wallace Murry in the movie. The minute that I entered the room, McCabe offered to show us some of his talents and did a couple of cartwheels around the room. The young actor is vivacious, full of energy, and he made every minute of the interview so much fun. Once he took his seat and we got started talking about the...

We visited as a guest of Disney One of the best-kept secrets of the Walt Disney Company is the Walt Disney Animation Research Library. While in Los Angeles earlier this month celebrating the upcoming release of Peter Pan on Movies Anywhere and Multi-Screen Edition: Blu-ray™ + Digital I got the honor of visiting the Walt Disney Animation Research Library. Before being invited to visit the Animation Research Library, I never even knew that it existed. As we entered the building, we had to turn off the geolocation on our phones so that the location will not be leaked out to the public. We were then advised to put all our bags in a conference room in the lobby, and we weren’t allowed to bring anything with us into the research library, even pens. It has been a long time dream of mine to go into his office, and I was immersed in the magic of Disney while walking in Walt’s footsteps. Everything in Walt Disney’s office has been placed and preserved precisely how it was when he was alive, and I felt like Walt was right there with us while walking around his office. I was visiting to experience a private tour of Walt Disney’s office and embark on a magical adventure of doing a Peter Pan scavenger hunt around Walt Disney Studios. The Walt Disney Studios is one of the most creative environments I have ever visited and a place where nobody would question a group of five women running around with Peter Pan hats on. For the scavenger hunt, we were all divided into groups of five, and I got to be on team Peter Pan. We were then given a series of envelopes filled with creative clues. We got extra points if we found the hidden Peter Pan shadows around the...

While in Los Angeles earlier this month, I had the honor of meeting with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, and got to talk to her about what it was like being a droid in the new hit film. Before meeting with Phoebe Waller-Bridge, I had heard that she didn’t know very much about Star Wars before being cast for the film. When asking her about it, she said, “I did know about Star Wars, but I hadn’t seen any of the films. I think there’s like, five of us in the world.” She continued to share with us that she felt like it worked in her favor. “I was very loose...

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney When you think of Chewbacca, what comes to mind? A warm cuddly creature from the world of Star Wars? But, there is a human behind all that fur and kindness, and in Solo: A Star Wars Story, it is Joonas Suotamo. Every little boy dreams of being Chewbacca, my boys especially, so when I told them I was going to meet the man, the myth, the legend, behind Chewbacca in Solo: A Star Wars Story….they almost fainted. The one thing that stood out to me about Joonas Suotamo is that he is not your traditional actor. When looking for someone to play the part of Chewbacca, they apparently needed someone tall, so the director seemed to our local pro basketball teams to find. “I got the role out of the...

I go into seeing every film with an open mind, and I honestly didn’t know what to expect before seeing Solo: A Star Wars Story, and the film blew my mind. The movie was full of adventure, heart, and is true storytelling at its best. The one thing that I loved most about Solo: A Star Wars Story is...
