LEGOLAND’s Brick-or-Treat isn’t Just for Toddlers

Posted by on Oct 24, 2017 in Events, Halloween, Holiday, LegoLand, Theme Parks | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue I have been taking my kids to LEGOLAND for Brick-or-Treat since they were toddlers. I always thought that once my kids became teenagers that they would no longer have an interest in LEGOLAND, but I was wrong. This past weekend, we had a family staycation in Carlsbad, and I had just planned on taking my younger son to Brick-or-Treat, but once my 15-year-old and 13-year-old heard where we were going, they insisted that they come along for the fun. When my two teenagers expressed interest in spending the day at LEGOLAND, I immediately got them tickets and pulled some costumes together for them to join the fun. My teens were overwhelmed with excitement and kept talking about all the rides they were going to go on while on our way to...

This post is in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures In celebration of the upcoming film “THE LEGO NINJAGO MOVIE” coming out in theaters on September 22nd, I surprised my younger son by taking him to LEGOLAND California to be one of the first to see the film. The morning of the event, I loaded up our Kia Sorento with our suitcases and then picked him up early from school. I didn’t tell him where we were going, and it wasn’t until I pulled into the valet at the LEGOLAND Hotel that he realized we were going to LEGOLAND California. He squealed with delight, got out of the car and ran into the resort to start playing in their giant pirate ship LEGO play area. Little did he know that we were going to be staying the night, and getting...

Posted by on Feb 24, 2017 in LegoLand, Theme Parks | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue As a mom of a superhero-loving son and daughter, I am well aware of all things that are superheroes.  Before my son became the guru of superheroes, I was the one that knew when the newest movie, toy, and event were happening. My children would marvel in my knowledge and ‘oh’ and ‘ah’ with each discovery (that might be an exaggeration, but it’s my story, and I am sticking to it!).  Sadly those days had long passed me until I got the invitation from Legoland for The Lego Batman Movie Days. For two weekends (February 18-19 and 25-26) you and your little superhero can experience the ultimate Lego Batman experience filled with photo opportunities with Batman, Lego Batman inspired activities and a scavenger hunt on top of all the other fun...

Posted by on Oct 28, 2016 in Halloween, Holiday, LegoLand, Theme Parks | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of Legoland Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year because of all the fun family events happening across Southern California. One of our favorite family Halloween traditions is to visit Legoland California for their Brick-or-Treat Party Nights event. This year, we did something different and got the full-day package which allowed us to arrive at the theme park early. The night of the event, we got to Legoland around 1 pm, and the park was full of children dressed in Halloween-themed clothing. We joined some friends who were also visiting the Legoland and our children squealed with delight while going on the different attractions. They raced cars, splashed in the water feature, and flew high in the helicopters. The rides at Legoland are perfect for children of all ages to enjoy. As the...

Posted by on Jun 10, 2015 in Featured, LegoLand, Theme Parks | 0 comments

We attended as a guest of Legoland If you have a kid or better yet husband that loves Legos then you’ve got to go to LEGOLAND!  I have a husband and children who love Legos, who am I kidding I love Legos too so it was a no brainer to visit the park.  The nice thing about Legoland is that it is 3 parks in one, a waterpark, theme park and aquarium. We were there for only a day so we thought it was best to hit just two of the three parks.  Now me being the crazy planning parent, got to the park 30 minutes before the park opened.  Why would we do that?  Well to check out the cool Lego figures, take pictures and oh yeah they open up a couple of rides before the entire park...

We attended as a guest of LegoLand Have you heard the exciting news? Lego Friends Heartlake City is now open at Legoland California Resort! Now for those of you who have a daughter like mine, you have a love/hate relationship with “the Friends”.  I love them because my daughter has created so many amazing little town buildings and has worked her fine motor skills and mind, but hate them because everywhere I step I find a Friend air bow or brush the size of a fingernail. They are the cutest toys ever and it’s really not their fault that my daughter loves to leave them all over the house, that being said I don’t really hate them, I just wish they would magically pick themselves up.  Last month my family and I ventured to Legoland for a fun day...
