Posted by on Dec 10, 2018 in Costa Mesa, Dining, Family, Featured, Giveaways, Shopping, Temecula, Travel | 184 comments

Sponsored One of my favorite things to do with my daughter is to have small weekend getaways. Before getting into the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, I planned an unforgettable weekend getaway with my daughter in Costa Mesa. With my daughter being an art student at Orange County School of the Arts, I thought that she would enjoy a getaway enjoying the artsy community of Costa Mesa, and it ended up being one of our favorite staycations ever. Costa Mesa has some of the best small businesses to shop for the holidays in Orange County, and since I want all the holiday gifts that I will be giving this year to come from small businesses, we started our getaway by shopping during Small Business Saturday. We got up early on Small Business Saturday and went to The...

We dined as a guest of the venue After a fun day exploring Temecula wineries with Grapeline Tours, we returned to Pechanga Resort & Casino to have a romantic dinner at Paisano’s. The minute that we stepped foot into Paisano’s, we were treated like royalty and had a delicious authentic Italian dinner. We started dinner by sharing the Bruschetta Con Pomodori that featured tomato, basil, baby arugula, olive tapenade, goat cheese, roasted garlic and a balsamic pipette. The dish was beautifully presented and was the perfect start to our dinner at Paisanos. My husband and I sipped on a glass of wine while sharing our favorite memories from spending the day exploring Temecula Valley wineries together. There were so many delicious dishes on the menu that it was hard for us to choose just one. One of my husband’s...

Posted by on Mar 15, 2017 in Temecula, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue When planning a couples getaway to Temecula Valley, a wine tour is the safest and best way to enjoy wine tasting. Before going to Temecula for the weekend, I spent a lot of time researching the different wine tour companies in Temecula, and Grapeline Wine Tours came highly recommended online and by our friends who have gone wine tasting in Temecula. I easily made reservations in advance online. We were given a specific time to be outside of Pechanga Resort and Casino. The morning of our tour, we had breakfast at Pechanga Resort and Casino and then walked outside the front doors of the resort where our tour guide was waiting for us. We boarded the bus, and our guide talked to us about what to expect throughout the day. Our...

Posted by on Mar 14, 2017 in Temecula, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of Grapeline Our final stop on the Grapeline Wine Tour in Temecula Valley was to Wilson Creek Winery & Vineyards. The winery was one of the most popular vineyards that we had visited while on the wine tour, and had some of the most delicious sparkling wines, with the sparkling almond wine being one of their most popular wines. We entered the winery and found two seats at the bar where we would embark on a delicious wine tasting adventure. The sparkling wines were some of the best sparkling wines that I have tasted with the Orange Mimosa and Peach Bellini being my two favorites. Chardonnay has always been my favorite wine and their “Yes Dear” Chardonnay was pure perfection. The winery had an extensive gift shop and plenty of outdoor seating to relax...

Posted by on Mar 13, 2017 in Temecula, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of Grapeline While on our Grapeline Tour in Temecula, we visited various wineries with Robert Renzoni Vineyards & Winery being one of our favorites. When we arrived at the winery, it felt like we were in the middle of a winery in Italy. The Tuscan-style winery is located at the top of the Temecula Valley hilltop and is surrounded by rows of grape vines. We entered the winery and were given poker chips for some tastings that were included with our tour. Robert Renzoni Vineyards & Winery had some of the best red wines that I have ever tasted. My husband enjoyed their Malbec wine so much that he purchased multiple bottles to bring home. It wasn’t just the wine that we enjoyed while visiting Robert Renzoni Vineyards & Winery but also their signature...

Posted by on Jan 23, 2017 in Temecula, Travel | 1 comment

We visited as a guest of Grapeline While visiting Temecula, we had the best time exploring different wineries with Grapeline Wine Tours. The tour guide took us to many wineries where we sampled some delicious wines. One of our stops was at Cougar Vineyard and Winery where we had lunch and tasted some of their wines. The best part of this winery is the location. It is located at the top of a hill, and guests visiting the winery can relax on their outdoor patio while sipping on wine and enjoying the magnificent views. Our visit started with having lunch in their barrel room. We enjoyed fresh sandwiches made from their restaurant while enjoying a glass of their wine. The sandwiches were just what we needed after working up quite a large appetite touring various wineries in Temecula. Once...

We visited as a guest of Grapeline While on a couples getaway to Temecula, we made plans to have a do a wine tasting tour with Grapeline Wine Tours. Our tour guide picked us up from Pechanga Resort & Casino and took us to our first stop on tour, Lorimar Vineyards & Winery. Our visit began with one of the winemakers giving us a semi-private tour of the vineyards. We were able to sample different Lorimar wines while strolling throughout the vineyard. The vineyards were beautiful, and it was the perfect place to reconnect with my husband. The wines at Lorimar were one of my favorites that we tasted while on our tour. They gave us generous pours and let us taste as many of their wines as we wanted. Since I prefer white wines, I loved that they...

Breakfast at Journey’s End at Pechanga

Posted by on Jan 18, 2017 in Temecula, Travel | 0 comments

We visited as a guest of the venue One of my favorite things about traveling is getting to have breakfast out. It is such a treat to not being the one having to flip pancakes for hungry children in the morning and to have someone else cook for me. While I was on a weekend getaway to Temecula with my husband, we made plans to have breakfast at the highly acclaimed Journey’s End at Pechanga. I had heard a lot about this restaurant from friends who had visited the area and couldn’t wait to sink my tastebuds into some of their culinary creations. The restaurant is not located in the main resort building, but they offer a complimentary shuttle for guests over to the golf course lobby where Journey’s End is located. When my husband and I arrived at...

Romantic Getaway at Ponte Vineyard Inn in Temecula

Posted by on Jan 27, 2015 in Staycation, Temecula, Travel | 0 comments

We stayed as a guest of Ponte When was the last time you had a romantic weekend away without the children? For my husband and I, it has been since the birth of my third child who is now eight years old. With both my husband and I working long hours and the kids keeping us busy, we have found it harder and harder to find time to focus on our marriage. So, we sent the kids to the Grandparent’s house for the weekend and escaped to Temecula for a romantic weekend at the Ponte Vineyard Inn. The moment that we took our first steps into the picturesque vineyard and breathed in the fresh country air, a sense of tranquility came over us. The resort is nestled in-between miles of grape vines giving us a secluded feel in the...
