Celebrate World Oceans Day with Rubio’s Restaurant on May 11

world oceans day event with rubiosRubio’s, famous for their fish tacos, is headquartered in San Diego.  For their 30 years in business, they have always had a devotion to the ocean and sustainable seafood.  In continuing that devotion, Rubio’s is hosting a beach cleanup and party for the San Diego community in order to kick-off a month-long celebration of “World Oceans Day”, as well as Rubio’s year-long “Be a Friend to the Ocean” campaign.

This fun family event takes place on Saturday, May 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Oceanside Pier Ampitheatre at 200 North The Strand, Oceanside, CA 92054.   World Oceans Day is June 8th so the cleanup and party are perfectly timed to help the San Diego area come together to celebrate the ocean.    Guests can also celebrate with Rubio’s by participating in online contests, events and more.

This day long party will include free lunch, complimentary surf lessons, cooking demonstrations, face painting, and even an extreme bocce ball tournament.  This Rubio’s celebration also features an interactive game booth from GameStop®, beach games and art exhibitions.
