Celebrating ‘Aladdin’ at The Walt Disney Animation Studios
We attended as a guest of Disney
“Aladdin” is one of my favorite Disney movies. I still remember the first time that I saw it in theaters when it was released in 1992. In celebration of the film being released for the first time on Blu-ray on October 13th, I brought my children to The Walt Disney Animation Studios to see the movie for their first time on the big screen.
When we arrived at the studio lot, there were hundreds of children frolicking and playing around the Walt Disney statue in the middle of Legends Plaza. There were games, music, dancing, and delicious treats. It was a celebration that Walt would have wanted to see happen in celebration of this beloved Disney classic film in the place where it was created.
Once all the children were done enjoying all the fun happening at Legends Plaza, we all gathered at the main theater to watch the movie “Aladdin.” My kids were munching on their popcorn while giggling at all the Genie’s jokes and humming along to the classic songs. They fell in love with the movie just like I did when seeing it for the first time. It was one of the most magical Disney moments we have shared together as a family.
One of the blu-ray bonus features has Disney Channel’s Joey Bragg sharing the hidden secrets of the movie “Aladdin.” My daughter, Ella, is a big fan of Joey Bragg, and talked to him about his work on the film.
While my daughter was talking with her favorite Disney Channel star, I got the once in a lifetime opportunity to chat with the voice of Aladdin, Scott Weinger. Weinger also has a bonus feature video on the blu-ray that families will enjoy watching.
Don’t miss getting the movie “Aladdin” in stores on October 13th.
