Chrissie Fit and Jordan Fisher Dish on Disney’s Teen Beach 2

We attended the interview as a guest of Disney

All my daughter can talk about is Teen Beach 2.

She is watching trailers on YouTube, practicing the dances with her girlfriends, and has already planned a sleepover with her friends to watch the movie when it premieres on the Disney Channel on June 26th.

Let’s just say that my daughter was more than jealous when I told her that I got a sneak peek of the hit film while in Los Angeles last week. She literally almost passed out when I showed her pictures of me with Chrissie Fit (Chee-Chee) and Jordan Fisher (Seacat).

After finding out that I saw the movie, chatted with two of her favorite Teen Beach 2 stars, and had a dance party, she couldn’t wait for me to sit down and share with her everything that Chrissie and Jordan said in our Q&A with them.

While we talked a lot about the movie, the one thing that truly stood out to me was what well-rounded kids Chrissie and Jordan are. Their parents have done such a great job of raising such polite, intelligent and respectful kids in Hollywood. They are both great role models for all of our children to look up too.

For Chrissie, it was her parents who helped inspire her to be a great dancer. “I grew up in a household where we were dancing Salsa and Meringue,” said Chrissie. While her dance background only consists of what her parents have taught her, she did an incredible job in the film.

Both Chrissie and Jordan have similar stories of being inspired to start their careers by joining their school Drama Club over a crush. “My crush was a 6th grader, and I was like, ‘I need to be in this show,'” said Chrissie.

I knew my daughter would want to know all about the hair, clothes, and make-up, and I’m sure all of your little fashionistas are curious about Chrissie’s hair in the movie. As opposed to the first Teen Beach, she wore a hair piece this time, and it was quite hard for the actress to keep it in place while dancing. “I was doing my BUBBA-BUBBA and like feeling that thing go BOOM-BOOM, and it was kind of distracting a little bit. But it was definitely like a lot better for my hair,” said Chrissie.

When it comes to advice for your kids, the two actors shared with us some great advice for those of you who have kids wanting to become actors:

“There are a lot of people who come out to L.A. and move to New York with the idea of becoming famous. Typically those people don’t find success in their field because their passion is driven from a very different place. They do what they do because they love it that tends to find success.” Jordan Fisher

“It’s not a sprint; it’s a marathon. Have patience, educate yourself. Not just with you know the craft that you wanna’ do. If you like the acting, dance and music and also you should really like try like try it in school. So much of my artistic choices that I’ve made have come through the education.” Chrissie Fit
