Christmas at The OC Zoo

One of my favorite holiday celebrations is Christmas at the OC Zoo. Children get a unique opportunity to visit all their favorite animals living at the zoo with Santa and Mrs. Claus. There will be crafts, face painting, and all the animals will be getting a surprise gift from Santa during the celebration. The celebration will begin on December 14th from 10am to 4pm.

We visited the OC Zoo last week during the Thanksgiving holiday, and the zoo is already decorated for the holiday. If you family cannot make it to the Christmas at the Zoo celebration, you can still have an unforgettable experience with the animals anytime throughout the season.

My kids not only got to interact with all the animals and played with them in the petting zoo, but they got to learn! When first entering the OC Zoo, children are invited to participate in an interactive scavenger hunt. The scavenger hunt had my kids running all over the zoo for hours learning about the different animals in the guide. At the end of the scavenger hunt, all of the children are given a special patch for their participation. (The scavenger hunt is included with the paid zoo admission)

All of the Christmas at the OC Zoo activities are included with the zoo admission of $2 per person, and children under the age of 2 are complimentary. (parking is $5 per vehicle)

The OC Zoo is located at 1 Irvine Park Road in the city of Orange.
