Chuck Jones Pop-Up at the Anaheim GardenWalk
We visited as a guest of the venue
As a parent, I try to expose my children to as many types of art as possible. My children have been to traditional museums, neon museums, craft museums; you name it they go to see. Ps. do to my love of art our home of a smorgasbord of prints, person pieces, and photographs.
The one thing that we lack is a numbered art collection that I kick myself for not starting sooner. What do I mean a numbered art collection? A piece of original work from an artist who’s collection you can build on and give in monetary value. For example last week we went to the Chuck Jones Gallery pop up in Anaheim, and as we admired the various pieces, I started thinking how great would it be if we owned one of these pieces. And that’s just it; we could own a piece or two or three because their prices aren’t that much more than that of a mounted copy print that I would buy elsewhere.
We could own original pieces by Chuck Jones, Dr. Seuss, as well as many other artists so why haven’t we? Why don’t more people? In my opinion, people have no idea that original pieces can be affordable. So naturally as I looked around the gallery I started snapping images of works that I admired and sent them to my husband with the subject matter, guess what we are going to get!
The Chuck Jones pop-up is located at the Garden walk in Anaheim until Labor Day. If you don’t catch them there, then be sure to hit up their locations in the Gaslamp District in San Diego or my favorite spot the Chuck Jones Gallery and Center for Creativity at SOCO in Costa Mesa.
