Comfort Inn Hotel in Redding
We stayed as a guest of the hotel
After spending the day exploring the beautiful Lassen Volcanic National Park, we drove into the neighboring town of Redding to stay the night at the Comfort Inn Hotel. The hotel is centrally located in the city of Redding and is just a short drive away from Turtle Bay Park, Sundial Bridge, and The Lassen Volcanic National Park.
When we checked into the hotel, we were exhausted from all of the fun we had during the day. We got our keys to the room, and then immediately walked next door to have a late night dinner at the local Marie Callender’s. The Marie Callender’s is conveniently located next door to the hotel and is a great family-friendly place to dine while staying in the area. Upon completion of our dinner, we walked back to the hotel for a good nights sleep in their comfortable beds.
The rooms are larger than most traditional hotels, and we had a view that overlooked the hotel swimming pool. The minute that my kids heads touched the pillow, they were sound asleep. The hotel is quiet, clean and perfect for families visiting the National Park or Lake Shasta.
When we woke-up in the morning, we joined the other guests staying at the hotel for a complimentary continental breakfast. The breakfast was larger than most complimentary hotel breakfasts and featured danish, yogurt, sausage, and waffles. The breakfast gave my kids the fuel needed to spend the day kayaking around the Whiskeytown Lake.
The hotel is pet-friendly and includes complimentary wifi, free local newspaper, fitness room and laundry facility. All of the rooms include a refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and sofa sleepers. Our family felt at home while staying at the Comfort Inn Hotel while on our summer family road trip.
