Cranberry Cheese Wonton Appetizers


Looking for a new appetizer to serve to your guests during the Fall season? Cranberries are currently in-season and made a perfect ingredient to creating a unique and delicious appetizer. During the holidays, we made these Cranberry Cheese Wonton Appetizers to serve to our holiday dining guests, and they were gone within a blink of the eye.

The best part – is that they are easily made without a lot of work in the kitchen. Plus your kids can easily help with making this recipe by helping to fill the cups or older children can help with the filling along with adult supervision. If you cannot find fresh cranberries to make this recipe, then I would recommend just using a the canned cranberries instead.


What will you need?
1 cup water
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 12oz. package of cranberries
1 8oz. package of cream cheese
1 Package of wonton wrappers


Directions for the filling:

In a sauce pan bring the sugars and water to a boil
Add cranberries and cook for 10 minutes
Add cream cheese


Directions for the cups:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place the wonton wrappers in a muffin tin
Bake for 5-10 minutes
Cool before filling
