Culinary Movie Night Fundraiser at Hotel Irvine

The Los Angeles/Orange County chapter of Les Dames d’Escoffier presents the ground-breaking documentary film “A Fine Line…A Woman’s Place is in the Kitchen” screening on Sunday, October 6th at Hotel Irvine’s plush theater.

About the Film

A fine Line Movie Poster

From director/producer/editor Joanna James, the film explores why less than 7% of lead chefs and restaurateurs are women. It presents perspectives and experiences from world-renowned chefs including Three-Michelin Star San Francisco Chef Dominique Crenn; Emmy award-winning chef and TV host/restaurateur Lidia Bastianich; Two-Michelin Star Chef April Bloomfield; California-based first female Iron Chef Cat Cora; and many others. “Fine Line…” is also the poignant story of small town restaurateur Valerie James – an uplifting American success story about perseverance, family and food.
