Culture Chinese Lantern Festival

Starting November 15, the Pomona Fairplex will host the Hanart Culture Chinese Lantern Festival — a fully immersive multicultural experience the entire family will love. This visually-stunning event combines art, tradition, culture and cuisine, creating opportunities for alluring photographs and wonderful memories.

Chinese Lantern Festival will run for 8 weeks: Every Thursday – Sunday, from November 15, 2018 – January 6, 2019, plus holidays. Children under 3 get in free!

The event will light up the L.A. night with color and light from more than 1,000 beautifully handcrafted lanterns at the Glade, Picnic Hill and Lagoon at Fairplex Pomona (1101 W. McKinley Ave., Pomona, CA 91768).

Explore “The Wild” as you travel the globe, walking through America, Oceania, Asia, Antarctica and Africa. Witness cheetahs, lions, jumping koi fish, jellyfish, panda bears, majestic cranes … even travel back in time with dinosaurs.

In addition to 1000 larger-than life lanterns that can tower up to 23 feet tall, discover:
Dinosaur rides for kids. Captivating Kung Fu performances (plus free Kung Fu coaching on stage with
the performers)

Experience shadow puppetry with master puppeteers from China (it’s interactive, so kids can play behind the stage, too!)
