Discovery Science Center Egg Drop Competition

“Humpty Dumpty Sat on a Wall, Humpty Dumpty Had a Great Fall.” Eggs will be cracking this weekend at the Discovery Science Center for their annual Egg Drop Competition on Saturday, February 22nd starting at 10:30am.

This is the 3rd year that the Discovery Science Center is hosting this fun family event as they end their Engineer’s Week. Children attending the event will create their own ETV (Egg Transport Vehicle) and then test its durability from a 20 foot drop.

The best part is that the Discovery Science Center will provide all the supplies needed to create your ETV at the event – and the eggs! Although they are providing the supplies, families are encouraged to build their own at home before the event.

Prizes will be awarded, and participants do not need to be present to win. We encourage families to arrive early for this highly popular event. More information and rules are available on the Discovery Science website.

The event is included with the price of admission. Admission is $15.95 for adults over the age of 15, $12.95 for children ages 3-14, and $12.95 for seniors over the age of 62. Parking is $4.
