Disney Dream Cruise Line Presents Beauty and the Beast The Musical

We attended during the Disney Social Media Moms Conference

I am a huge theatre lover. Ever since I started school at the Orange County School of the Arts, the theatre has become a giant part of my life, and I couldn’t imagine my life any other way. When I did some research about our upcoming trip on the Disney Dream Cruise Line, and I discovered that there was going to be a theatre on the ship, and I was so excited. Next, I looked into it more and learned that they would be doing a live musical production of Beauty and the Beast, and I couldn’t wait to see it.

When we boarded the cruise, I was counting down the nights until Beauty and the Beast, which (lucky for me) was on the second night. Our dinner was at 5:45 pm, and I wouldn’t see the musical until the 8:30 showtime, and I was watching the clock the entire evening in anticipation of the production.

When the time came for me to walk into the Walt Disney Theatre, I was practically jumping up and down. My family and some of our friends took their seats around me in the second row, and we anxiously waited for the show to begin. When the curtains finally did rise we were all in awe the moment Belle’s father Maurice started talking in the first act. Throughout the entire show, I was blown away by all of their amazing props and scenes.

The whole show was incredible from the fantastic singing to the jaw-dropping projections of the environment around the actors. I walked into that theater expecting a great show, and I walked out feeling that this was my favorite musical production seen yet.

The talent of the actors was incredible. We were on a boat that was moving, and those performers kept their balance the entire time in the show – I still don’t know how they managed to perform while on a moving stage.

Beauty and the Beast can be seen on the Disney Dream Cruise Line. This musical production was my absolute favorite thing about our cruise experience, and I highly recommend experiencing it. Coming from a person who has watched professional theater productions her whole life this was one of the best theatre productions I have ever seen take the stage.
