Disneyland’s 60th Birthday Celebration

We attended as a guest of Disney

Disneyland celebrated its 60th birthday with an unforgettable moment in front of Sleeping Beauty’s Castle. Multiple Disney legends, family members of Walt Disney and thousands of guests came together to sing “Happy 60th Birthday” to Disneyland.

The celebration began as Disneyland made their announcement of giving back to local non-profit organizations during their Diamond Celebration starting with the Girl Scouts of Orange County. Multiple OC Girl Scouts came out for the big announcement and to accept the honor of being the first Orange County non-profit during the diamond celebration to receive a donation from Disneyland.

Then it was time for the most memorable moment of the day when Richard Sherman played the piano and Ashley Brown sang Walt’s favorite song “Feed the Birds.” There was not a single dry eye in the audience during the moving performance and left a lasting memory with every guest who was visiting the park during the celebration.

Finally, the ceremony ended as Ashley Brown and the entire audience sang “Happy Birthday” along with all of our beloved Disney characters. Once the ceremony ended, guests made their way throughout the park to enjoy complimentary cupcakes and unforgettable photo opportunities.

It was a special day to be at Disneyland Park on their 60th birthday, and a day that guests visiting the park will never forget. The celebration will continue throughout the year as Disneyland Park continues to celebrate with the Diamond Celebration.
