The sensory bins and critter safari will give your child the freedom to investigate on their own with no need for direct assistance. Observe your child’s interactions with new textures, sights, and sounds, and let them explore at their own pace.

  • Encourage curiosity and free play
  • Inspire them to be social with their peers or to enjoy the station on their own

The scavenger hunt is a guided introduction to a variety of common garden features and encourages toddlers to be open to and respectful of all garden life.

  • Determine what stimulates your child the most: bugs, flowers, dirt, leaves, trees, etc. Use this as an entry point to illustrating outdoor fun!
  • Help your toddler develop an understanding of what they are seeing by using the appropriate vocabulary word, picture, and discovery of a real life example in the garden. Acknowledging the item in all three ways will reinforce their comprehension.

Art stations are flexible for both independent workers and children who would like some help.

  • Encourage your child to follow the steps for their art project.
  • Self discipline is new to them, so your child will need your help learning how to follow instructions.
