Enhancing My Beauty Through The Ocean with H20+ Skincare

We were provided with samples of the products on behalf of Disney.

I have spent most of my life spending most of my time at the beach. I am lucky to live just a few short miles from the sandy beaches of Orange County, and I have grown-up learning about the healing powers of our oceans. While in Florida at the Disney Social Media Moms conference, I was introduced to a new skincare line that supports the preservation of our oceans, and has discovered the power of marine science. The brand H20+ Skincare has become one of my favorite skincare lines that I have been using throughout the summer months to care for my skin after the long hours in the summer sun.

H20+ Skincare has used the ocean as their laboratory to create scientifically proven skin-changing formulas. My Grandma would always tell me different ways to use natural items for skincare remedies, and she always had the most beautiful skin. After spending hours in the sun on the beach, my skin has shown so many early signs of aging. Since I started using the H20+ Hydrating Treatment, and Instant Hydrating Stick I have noticed a significant impact on my skins appearance. My fine lines have decreased around my eyes and my skin has felt refreshed and hydrated throughout the summer.

I have seen such an impact on my skin since beginning to use the product that even my oldest daughter has started to use the Sea Salt Hydrating Butter to help keep her skin hydrated throughout the summer. The protecting moisturizer has a fresh ocean scent that leaves us feeling like we are still in the crashing waves of the ocean while at home.

The product line is used in Walt Disney World Resorts, Spas, and is available online at

  1. I love the idea of skincare that helps preserve oceans, but cannot get behind these products… their ingredient lists include all kinds of damaging/toxic chemicals that have been shown to have terrible effects on our bodies:

Retinyl palmitate: When exposed to UV light, retinol compounds break down and produce toxic free radicals that can damage DNA and cause gene mutations, a precursor to cancer; may speed the development of skin tumors and lesions.

Propylparaben (and other parabens): mimics estrogen and can act as potential hormone (endocrine) system disruptors.

PEG-12 DIMETHICONE: due to the presence of PEG, this ingredient may contain potentially toxic manufacturing impurities such as 1,4-dioxane. 1,4-dioxane is ‘reasonably anticipated to be a human carcinogen’ based on numerous animal studies (NTP 2005).

Diazolidinyl urea is an antimicrobial preservative that acts as a formaldehyde releaser in cosmetics and personal care products.
