EPIC Carlsbad Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch

We visited as a guest of the venue

I have heard a lot about the popular Carlsbad corn maze, and while our family was visiting Carlsbad over the weekend, we decided to make a quick stop to explore the maze before going to brick-or-treat at LEGOLAND. Little to my surprise, it was much more than ‘just a corn maze’ but one of the most largest and elaborate corn mazes I had ever seen.

When we arrived at the pumpkin patch, we purchased tickets to enter, explore the maze, and to ride the tractor. Once inside, there were pumpkins everywhere. Our kids took their time to pick out their favorite pumpkin before walking over to explore the maze.

In the heart of the pumpkin patch are a lot of things for families to do. There are a lot of photo opportunities, food trucks, live music, pony rides, and vendor booths. It is a great place to relax and unwind with your children during your visit.

Then it was time for the corn maze! When I looked at the map, I couldn’t believe my eyes. The corn maze is over two miles!! That’s right – two miles!! In a blink of my eyes, the kids disappeared into the maze. As I was exploring the maze, I would bump into them at times, and there was a moment when I thought that I might not get out! I was in the maze for over an hour before making my way to the exit. What I really liked about the maze is that there was staff walking around the maze to ensure guests were not lost, scared or worried. There was a point when I couldn’t find my way out, and the staff told me the secret (always stay to the right…shhhhh!) I just want all of you to know ahead of time in the event you want to escape the maze quickly to care for your toddler or baby.

The corn maze is epic – and something you’ll not want to miss experiencing this Halloween season.

After the corn maze, our kids got an ice cream cone from a food truck, and we made our way over to the tractor ride. The tractor took us to a second and smaller pumpkin patch where our kids could run off some of their energy, and we could take some beautiful family photos. After spending time at the second stop, the tractor picked us up and took us back to the pumpkin patch.
