Sign up to help behind the scenes at the Irvine Ranch Conservancy’s one-of-a-kind Native Seed Farm in Irvine! You will be harvesting seeds from our quirky native Summer wildflowers, like Yellow Pincushions and Heart-leaved Beard Tongue. Tools and training with be provided, and no experience is needed. After a quick ride to the Farm-site in an open-air safari vehicle, you will get introduced to some of our beautiful native plants, and then we’ll get to work! Event runs 9:00am – 12:o0pm for ages 8 and up. Register online. Driving directions emailed upon registration.

The breastfeeding support group at Granola Babies is an inviting, friendly and welcoming group for mothers and mothers-to-be. It’s on Wednesdays at 1:00pm. Children are welcomed and there’s a comfortable sofa for nursing. You’ll receive both education and breastfeeding support for a successful breastfeeding relationship with your child. A new topic is discussed each week. Pre and post baby weigh check available to measure mild intake. The Chamber, along with individual band sponsors have made these events free to the public. The concerts will run every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. starting July 1 through August 19 at Eisenhower Park next to the Seal Beach Pier. In order to ensure there is enough space for all residents to enjoy the concerts, please do not set unattended chairs or any other items to reserve spots until after 4 p.m. All chairs and items that are in the park before 4 p.m. must be accompanied at all times. If left unattended, your belongings will be picked up and held at the chamber booth for pickup and your space will be forfeited. Come join us as we meet experts from a variety of natural fields. Each evening begins with a twilight walk at 7:00pm led by our staff naturalists, followed by a formal presentation at 7:30pm. Admission is free, but a $5.00 donation per family is suggested.

Each week a new group will take the outdoor gazebo stage in City Hall Park for free Wednesday evening performances beginning at 6:30 p.m. Featuring a different musical genre each week, this series invites audiences to relax and picnic on the lawn while the music plays. On-site sales of tri-tip sandwiches, cold drinks and snacks help support this program. Concerts will take place Wednesdays, July 8 through August 19 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Admission is free.

There’s more to do at the mall than shop! Each year, Buena Park Downtown hosts the Summer Concert Series in the Krikorian Courtyard. Enjoy live entertainment and interactive activities for the kids, as well. Buena Park Downtown is one of the City’s many community partners that make the concerts possible each year. Concert runs 7:00pm – 9:00pm.

The sounds of Rhythm and Blues music will be heard when “Memphis Kings featuring Kid Ramos” performs at the Fullerton Parks and Recreation Department’s popular outdoor summer concert series on Wednesday, July 15. Memphis Kings featuring Kid Ramos plays songs about complex themes, such as love, family and home. Group members are James Barrios bass and vocals; Jesus Cuevas, accordion and vocals; Mike Molina, drums; and Kid Ramos, guitar, banjo sexton and vocals. The band will perform from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
All concerts in the series are free and will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. While food will be available for purchase at the complex, from the Soho Taco Truck and Kona Ice, concert-goers are welcome to bring a picnic supper to enjoy, as well as lawn chairs or blankets for seating.
Parking for the disabled will be available at the site. Overflow parking will be provided at the First Evangelical Free Church parking structure on the northwest corner of Bastanchury Road and Brea Boulevard. Shuttle service will be provided to and from the parking structure and the sports complex from 6-9 pm.

Persons requiring special accommodations to attend the concerts are asked to notify the department staff prior to coming to the sports complex.
