Canyon Explorers: Amazing Snakes

Bommer Canyon

Bommer Canyon Cattle Camp

Irvine Ranch

letsgooutside.org/activities/2015/06/19/canyon-explorers-amazing-snakes-2/

Come hear the helpful ways our native snakes keep our habitat healthy. From beautiful boas to shakin’ rattlesnakes, we will get to know which ones to steer clear from along the trails. Learn some helpful tips of what to do if you do encounter a rattlesnake as we hike along the trails in Bommer Canyon.

This program is a perfect afternoon adventure for children ages 6 – 10 years of age. We spend time exploring our program’s topic creating a craft or playing a game before we head out on the trails to practice what we have learned. Our hike will be a gentle one-mile trek along uneven terrain. Off-road strollers for younger siblings are welcome to join the fun! Parent or guardian must register and attend along with their child. This free program runs 3:30pm – 5:00pm for ages 6 and up. Register online. Driving directions emailed upon registration.
