Fabletics: A Review of this Hot New Brand

Review Product Received

I’m not sure why work out clothing has become so expensive, but because of it, I’ve ditched the big ticket brands and begun to explore other options.  After all, just like the clothing in my closet, I like to refresh my work out clothing and have options when I head out to exercise.  Fabletics is newer brand that I’ve heard a lot about and wanted to try for myself.  So ladies, I’m going to get “real” and be honest with my review of this hot new brand.

I am far from a great athlete, but I enjoy working out and having fun options to do it in.  I’m on the taller side, 5′ 8″ 1/2 to be exact, and have had problems in the finding work out pants that don’t pinch, slouch or that I have to readjust because of my long torso and long legs during my workouts.  I ordered my usual size, a size 8-10, in the Fabletics pants and was thrilled with the quality and fit.  The pants are thick enough to hold me in and avoid feeling jiggly while running, yet not so thick that they feel binding, in fact they’re incredibly comfortable to wear.  The Fabletic pants never needed to be adjusted or pulled up during my work out, nor did I feel they slipped like a lot of pants, even those really expensive ones.

I love a funky design and was immediately drawn to this fun print!  The pants come in several colors, solids and this fun print.

The waistband is reinforced with a little extra fabric yet was very comfortable.  The waistband of the pants have a small opening perfect for a key if you’re exercising along the beach or out for a trail run and need to take a key with you.  I highly recommend Fabletics pants, these cropped pants retail for under $40 while competitors capri pants range from $72.00 – $85.00 and they stay put while exercising.  Again, I have several of those expensive brands, but won’t be buying them anymore after discovering the quality of the Fabletics capris.

I always wear a tank top while working out indoors, but when I head out for a run during the cooler months, I prefer a long sleeved shirt to take away the chill.  I loved the detailing of this long sleeved number.  The top is soft, breathable and cute.  Again, due to my height and body type, I always order a large to cover my long arms and torso; however, I found the Fabletics long sleeved top was rather tight.  I would recommend ordering a size larger than you would normally wear to avoid a return.  The website has a helpful sizing chart, although I found the sizing with the slim fit top to run small.

Like most, I’m hoping for cooler weather.  I ordered this shrug with two toned styling, wide collared, breathable fabric and thumb holes to keep the sleeves in place.  I like the longer length in the back for a bit of coverage for running errands after my work out yet more stylish than a regular sweatshirt.  I did order this shrug in an 8 – 10 and, like the long sleeved top pictured above, but this fit perfectly with the arm length and fit well overall.  I’m so pleased with this two toned shrug and can’t wait to wear it in the coming months.

I love the detailing of this lightweight, two toned shrug!
