Family Guide to The Queen Mary CHILL
We attended as a guest of The Queen Mary
A “chill” is in the air surrounding The Queen Mary this holiday season as families are invited to create special memories at The Queen Mary Chill. From the Ice Kingdom to ice skating, there is something for everyone at this fun family holiday event.
Ice Kingdom
One of the highlights of CHILL is the Ice Kingdom. Your family will put on a warm oversized jacket before entering the freezing room. Once inside there are beautiful handmade ice sculptures with the highlight being the giant Queen Mary ice sculpture complete with ice slides for kids to ride down. Recommendations: Dress your kids in lots of layers (it is truly freezing in this room). I also don’t recommend bringing any electronics into the room – they do advise that they can break due to the freezing temperatures. Talk to your kids about “respecting the ice” by not sitting or licking any of the ice sculptures.
Glacier Glide
You don’t have to travel to the local mountains to go tubing…just visit CHILL. Right next to the Ice Kingdom are multiple tubing lanes where kids can glide down the 100′ 6-lane ice slides. Recommendations: If you purchase the Elf Pass then your kids will have a VIP access line without having to wait with the general admission.
Ice Skating
When first arriving at CHILL go directly to the 6,500 square-foot ice skating rink to get your preferred skating time. There is no additional cost for the ice skating, but their times do fill up quickly especially as it gets later in the evening. Upon arriving at the rink, you’ll be given a card with your return time when your family can ice skate for one hour. (skates are included)
Swingin’ Sleigh
Straight from Neverland Ranch comes the Swingin’ Sleigh ride. Your children can swing high above CHILL on this historic carnival ride. If your family purchases the Elf Pass then there are unlimited rides; otherwise, there is an additional charge of $5 per person to ride.
Blizzard Blvd
Located next to the ice skating rink are multiple activities. Your children can have their picture taken with Santa (no personal photos allowed), have your kids face painted, caricatures drawn and purchase t-shirts. The t-shirts, face painting, and caricatures are all an additional charge.
Entertainment
There are lots of great shows happening throughout the day at CHILL. There are shows at the Forest Stage, Candy Lane Stage, ice rink and aboard The Queen Mary. Shows include a magic show, drummer boyz and soldier boyz, Ice Rink DJS, The Satin Dollz, Caroling Along the Promenade Trees on The Queen Mary and ice skating performances. Check the event guide for showtimes upon arriving at CHILL.
Bounce Houses
There are two bounce houses that are included with admission. There is a smaller bounce house for younger children located in Candy Lane and a larger Queen Mary themed bounce house just a few steps away.
Bucking Reindeer
Yee-haw! For an additional fee of $5, children can ride a bucking reindeer. It is located directly next to Candy Lane and the Queen Mary bounce house.
Dining
Think fair food. Giant slices of pizza, monster sized corn dogs, funnel cakes and more. There are food vendors located throughout the event and a holiday beach bar for mom and dad. Tickets include admission to The Queen Mary where there are great family dining options.
Photo Opportunities
Throughout CHILL are many photo opportunities so bring your camera! Take pictures at Candy Cane Lane, the North Pole Village, inside the gingerbread house and more. There are also some fun holiday characters strolling around the property to greet your children.
E.L.F. Pass
We highly recommend purchasing the E.L.F. Pass to get the most out of your experience at CHILL. It will allow your family to go directly to the front of the line at the Ice Kingdom and Glacier Glide (plus unlimited rides on the Swinging’ Sleigh ride). There are a limited number of passes available each day. Cost is $15 online or $20 at the event entrance.

Parking is $20. Make sure and pay for your parking at the ticket booth located near the exit before leaving.
