Buccaneer's Cove at Boomer's Irvine

We spent a fun filled afternoon as guests of Boomers at the recently opened Buccaneer’s Cove at Boomer’s Irvine. This newly opened feature at Boomer’s Irvine has been long awaited and clearly kept many children entertained for hours today.  If you are planning a visit, we have your family guide to Buccaneer’s Cove.

What to Pack

There is one main structure to Buccaneer’s Cove making it easier for parents to keep track of their children. When packing, make sure your children are wearing proper swim attire and bring plenty of towels to help keep them dry as they rotate in and out of the water park.  Pack a lot of sunscreen, especially if you go early in the day as shade is minimal. Later on in the day, you can find shade on the far side of the water park area.

Arriving and Setting Up

Parents will appreciate that Buccaneer’s Cove is sectioned off so your children cannot fun off to play in the main area of Boomers.  We do recommend that you arrive early to get chairs or consider packing your own chairs.  The chairs with their own sunshade would work perfectly and allow you to escape the sun as you need.  Arriving early will also allow you to make the most of your tickets so your children can get the maximum enjoyment out of Buccaneer’s Cove.

What to Do

Buccaneer’s Cove is five levels high so make sure your children are careful walking up and down the structure.  No water shoes are allowed on the slides but they are perfect for the splash pad area.  With 1000 feet of water slides, it’s safe to say children will be in the water a lot!  Older children may enjoy the slides more while younger children play in the splash pad area.
