Family Guide to the Irvine Park Easter Eggstravaganza

The Irvine Park Easter Eggstravaganza is happening now until March 30th. Everywhere your kids turn, there will be something more to explore. We have a fun family guide on what to expect when visiting the Irvine Park Easter Eggstravaganza this month. The Easter activities are on Saturdays and Sundays starting promptly at 9:30am, and the Wheel of Fun Bike rentals open at 10am.

Our first recommendation is to visit the Easter Bunny first. Remember that it is a park, and the kids can get dirty quickly. I will never forget our visit last year when the kids started with the face painting, and my youngest son transformed his face into a skeleton (complete with gushing blood out of the forehead). It was not the most “Easter” friendly picture we have to remember our visit, but we giggle every time we see it. The photos with the Easter bunny at Irvine Park are $10, and parents are able to use their own cameras to take pictures. The bunny is located in the far right corner of the activities area.

Our second recommendation is to get registered early for the Easter Egg Hunt. This is one of the most popular events happening during the Easter Eggstravaganza, and they can sell-out quickly. After purchasing tickets, get your wrist band before enjoying the different activities at the park.

Next, don’t forget to bring an empty Easter basket. There are baskets available for purchase, but families can save money by bringing their own basket from home. We also recommend bringing an empty ziploc bag to take home your decorated cookie. There is nothing worse than having a fully decorated cookie go flying across the car when stopping at a red light on the way home.

Pack a picnic lunch. After enjoying the various Easter activities at the Irvine Park, there are many relaxing places in the park for families to enjoy spending quality time together over lunch.

Finally, bring a change of clothes to spend the rest of the afternoon bike riding around the park. There is a large variety of bike rentals available at the Wheel of Fun Bike Rental at very reasonable prices.

Have fun and enjoy the Easter Eggstravaganza at Irvine Park Railroad. Tickets for the activities are $5 each or $60 for a book of 15 tickets. Parking is $5 per vehicle on the weekends.
