Family Staycation at The Ranch at Laguna Beach

When it comes to staycations, families living in Orange County have so many options, but when it comes to a beachside getaway, The Ranch at Laguna Beach is a premier choice for locals. The historic vacation destination has recently undergone a major renovation and offers guests plush accommodations just steps away from the crystalline waters of the Pacific Ocean.
As our children are getting older, it is becoming harder for all of our family to be able to come together on the weekends. The minute that I noticed that my high schooler had a weekend free of commitments, I planned a weekend getaway to The Ranch at Laguna Beach.
We packed our beach gear into the car and drove down the coast to the resort. We checked into our room, and within minutes our kids were on a golf cart headed towards the beach. They spent the afternoon splishing and splashing in the water while creating memories that will last a lifetime. As the sun began to set, we returned to the resort where my husband and I toasted to a beautiful weekend together while watching the sunset behind the canyon.
The evening ended with our family cuddling up in the living room of our suite watching a movie together while snacking on popcorn. Our children then drifted off to sleep in their beds while dreaming of all the fun that was ahead.
The next day, our family spent the day learning how to golf on the Ben Brown’s golf course. Our older son has been playing golf for many years, and he enjoyed showing us all of the golf skills he has learned. While he is an experienced golfer, the rest of us learned how much fun the sport can be while being taught by a professional instructor.
Once the golfing fun was done, we spent the rest of the day relaxing by the pool. The Ranch at Laguna Beach has kept the original resort pool design, and it is the perfect place for families to relax and reconnect.
On our last morning at The Ranch at Laguna Beach, we had breakfast on the patio before participating in an interactive birds of prey presentation. We got to get up close and personal with a red-tailed hawk and many other majestic animals. It was an interactive experience that my children will never forget.
We had such an amazing time at The Ranch at Laguna Beach, and we didn’t want to leave. It quickly became our favorite staycation destination in Orange County, and we can’t wait to come back to spend many more weekends together.
