Fawn Park at Big Bear Lake

Fawn Park

Planning a trip to Big Bear this winter? Then you are definitely going to want to visit Fawn Park with your children. When planning our getaway to Big Bear, my son could not wait to visit this park to see the “World’s Biggest Tire!” What we quickly learned was that it is a fun park filled with unique and interesting things for families to explore.

The park is easy to find with its giant covered wagon at the front of the park. When your family enters the park, they will find unique life sized statues throughout the park. The kids got silly with some of the statues by trying to pose like the police officer or even stick their heads into the helmet of one statue.

September 11th Memorial

September 11th Memorial

There is a beautiful September 11th memorial in the center of the park. The memorial has a tribute, an angel, and American flags draped over the memorial. It is a beautiful tribute to those who have lost their lives on September 11th. It opened up great discussions with our children about September 11th.

The park has a small play structure, picnic benches and my kids favorite – horse shoe game! They played for hours at this park together, and could not resist climbing on the world’s biggest tire.

The park is located at 39221 N. Shore Drive at Big Bear Lake. There are some quaint restaurants directly across the street from the park for your family to enjoy lunch after playing at the park together.
