Flower Power at the Flowerchild Festival

Sponsored

The OC Great Park was buzzing this past weekend with families attending the first annual Flowerchild Festival. There was a lot of excitement surrounding the event, and families were lining up to get into the festival to enjoy the family fun.

The event was located in the heart of the OC Great Park, next to the carousel. In the hanger was a ton of vendors handing out samples and information about their businesses. Raffles were happening, kids getting braids in their hair, and Mom’s Orange County was educating parents about the different services they offer the community.

Parked outside of the hanger was the Burnt food truck where families could purchase food and drinks for the kids. Our kids enjoyed their mini sliders while taking a short break from all of the fun.

After our kids had a snack and we had visited all of the vendors, they rode the carousel a couple of times. The OC Great Park carousel is one of my kid’s favorite things to do, no matter how old they get.

Next to the carousel was a large grass area that was sectioned off for the event. Inside of the fenced area where multiple vendor booths. There was a craft table, flower crown making, photo opportunities and mermaids. Families had blankets laid out on the grass and were relaxing while listening to the live music.

Once we were done enjoying the event, our kids played at the new playground that recently opened at the OC Great Park, and then we got some groceries at the Farmer’s Market.

The Flowerchild Festival was a fun family event, and we look forward to it coming back again next year. Keep updated on future events like this on our Facebook page.
