Foothill Ranch Community Park

After dropping off my older son for some lessons at the Lake Forest Skate Park, I took my two younger children to explore the Foothill Ranch Community Park in Lake Forest. What we found was one of the coolest parks that we have played at in a long time!

This park is all about keeping kids active through sports. Throughout the park, there are tennis courts, volleyball courts and even roller hockey courts. There is a baseball field and soccer field that are utilized on weekends by local leagues. Bring your sports gear along with you for the ultimate sporting day at the park – or have a “sports themed” birthday party here for your kids!

Playground Equipment!
This park has an extensive play structure. There is a massive play structure for the older children, and a good-sized one for the younger children. There is also a separate (shaded) sandbox for the younger children to build a sand castle. The swings were the only thing that was not in abundance at this play area. There are plenty of benches surrounding the play structure for parents to sit or take a snack break with their children.

Let’s Picnic!
The park looks small when you first arrive, but the grass area stretches for what feels like forever. There is a small paved path for children to ride their bikes around the park, and there are plenty of picnic benches and barbecues for families to have a park picnic or birthday party along the paved pathway.

I *love* a park that has clean bathroom facilities. This park has plenty of drinking fountains and one of the nicest bathroom facilities I have ever seen. It was clean and so helpful when visiting the park with younger children.

The park is located at 19422 Rue De Valore in Lake Forest. There is plenty of parking available in their large parking lot.

What to bring
There is a lot of shade at this park, but I always recommend bringing plenty of sunscreen. Bring your bikes, skateboards and roller blades along with a snack – your kids are not going to want to leave.

Have fun exploring this hidden gem in Orange County!
