As parents, we all know how important it is to raise healthy children. We are all working hard to give our kids the best lifestyle, nutrition, and care. What is the Boys & Girls Clubs of America Triple Play? It is a valuable resource for parents that is put together with the support of The Coca-Cola Company and the Anthem Blue Cross Foundation to give parents the tools needed to raise children with a healthy mind, body, and soul. It’s not just about keeping our kids active and eating healthy foods but also helping them to have healthy relationships and to be active in their community.

The parents game plan has a holistic approach to ensuring your children have a healthy mind, body, and soul. Caring for your children’s mind with a healthy diet, their body by keeping them active, and their soul by encouraging them to have healthy relationships. When kids are healthy, they do better in school and feel good about themselves.

Some of the things that stood out to me when using the Triple Play guide to set-up a game plan for my children was the tips on how to get kids motivated and to obtain their goals. It has an extensive guide on how to ensure your children are eating a well-balanced diet along with tips when your family is eating away from home. The guide has realistic goals for parents in knowing that with our kid’s busy schedules that it is not realistic to always eat dinner at home every night. It includes tips for what children should look for in a cafeteria, dining at a fast food restaurant, and your local convenience store.

The guide has a variety of different games that parents can play with their children to help children stay active. It also features a step-by-step guide on how parents can set-up a circuit training program for their children and examples of aerobic, muscle and bone strengthening exercises.

My favorite part of the Triple Play game plan is the tools it provides to help children to have a healthy soul and healthy relationships. The guide has different games parents can play with their children, yoga exercises, and stretches.

Finally, at the end of the guide is a journal that parents can print out and record their progress and success of raising a healthy and happy child. My children always feel better and have better behavior when they eat healthy, exercise, and interact positively with their peers.
