Girls Inc. of Orange County “Safer at Home” Volunteer Opportunities

As we continue to practice “Safer at Home” guidelines, it’s important for us to continue our relationship with girls throughout Orange County. At Girls Inc., they want girls to be reminded that we are still in their corner by writing messages of encouragement and inspiration during this critical time.

COVD 19 Teen Volunteer Opportunities

We kindly ask that messages be addressed towards the following ages groups.

• Lower Elementary: Kindergarten through 2nd Grade
• Upper Elementary: 3rd through 5th Grade
• Middle School: 6th through 8th Grade
• High School: 9th through 11th Grade
• High School: Graduating Seniors

Inspire a Girl – Post a Video

Inspire A Girl

A great way to spread empowering messages is through social media. Join us as we engage in strong, smart, and bold activities that keep our brains, bodies, and spirits active and healthy!

To support, post a short video on social media and use the phrase, “I’m staying Strong, Smart, and Bold by…” Use the hashtag #StayingStrongSmartBold and tag Girls Inc. to be shared!

College Shower Drive

The College Shower is a program highlighting the accomplishments of College Bound girls pursuing higher education. To ensure a smoother transition into college, each girl receives a basket filled with essentials they need for their first year in college!

Literacy Lab Book Drive

Stronger Smarter Bolder

The Literacy Lab program strengthens the literacy skills of girls in kindergarten through 3rd grade. To expand curriculum and the personal libraries of participants, the Literacy Lab team has created a wish list of books featuring Strong, Smart, and Bold girls, fiction and non-fiction, representing our girls’ various cultures or introduces them to new ones, or are titles from some of their favorite authors.
