Great Park Neighborhoods Showcases New Model Homes

Admit it, you’ve been at school drop off and noticed the mom wearing a pair of super cute Tory Burch shoes. For a split second, you felt a tinge of envy, perhaps. How about the family with the amazing, tidy home?  You may have experienced a little bit of jealousy compared to your conservative, sometimes “very lived in” accommodations.

In a good way, I had a large dose of home envy when touring the new model homes at the Great Park Neighborhoods at Pavilion Park in Irvine that were built by eight leading national builders.

Designed in classic American Heritage architecture, the 31 single-family detached homes of Pavilion Park include single-story and two-story floor plans across a variety of price ranges to offer something for everyone – from young couples and families with children to empty nesters and multi-generational households.

Entering each model home, I witnessed “home” living like never before. Designers truly considered the diverse day-to-day needs of people – from multiple home offices, kids’ homework areas, customized mudrooms, extra kitchen prepping space, to outdoor entertaining spaces that connected to inside living spaces. No detail it seemed was left out when it came to the comfort of these warm, inviting homes.

But Pavilion Park is striving for more than just another group of new homes. The builders and designers focused on creating an authentic, friendly ambiance that draws from small towns of the past, including the addition of 160 heritage trees that give the neighborhood a sense of maturity, a neighborhood garden, and greenhouse that recall the farming culture of the region and a streets and trails designed to encourage walking and biking.

The neighborhood’s centerpiece and namesake is the more than 5-acre Pavilion Park, where residents can enjoy a terrace, outdoor kitchen, greenhouse, swimming pool, spa, children’s play area, sport courts and an expansive lawn.

You can get a taste of the Pavilion Park lifestyle September 28 & 29, 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with free entertainment and refreshments. Located at the intersection of Irvine Boulevard and Ridge Valley (east of Sand Canyon Avenue) in Irvine.  Parking is available on site.

Returning to my current “lived in” home, I am considering a remodel, or perhaps I’ll swing back by the Park Pavilion this weekend. It kind of seemed like home.
