Gryphon Guardian Donating WiFi Routers to Low-income Families in Southern California

Gryphon Online Safety, developer of all-in-one security and parental control devices, announced today its donation of 100 Gryphon Guardian WiFi routers to low-income families in Southern California who are in need of safe and secure Internet access during California’s ongoing stay-at-home order due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

With stay-at-home orders in place and the closure of all Los Angeles Unified School District and San Diego Unified School District schools, many parents are challenged to continue education at home. Additionally, many parents have shared concerns about being able to effectively monitor Internet activity of children and teens due to the increased screen time and their need to continue to work from home.

In order to help alleviate these challenges, Gryphon will donate 100 of its Gryphon Guardian WiFi routers to local families, featuring powerful parental controls to ensure that children are spending a majority of their online time for educational and constructive purposes:

Parents can control access to certain websites and apps including TikTok, Snapchat and Fortnite, as well as set internet/screen downtime—all controlled though an easy-to-use Android or iOS smartphone app.

For parents away at work, a free 90-day trial of Gryphon HomeBound is included, an extension of Gryphon Guardian that allows parents to set internet access controls from anywhere in the world.

Gryphon Guardian provides internet security for the entire household, protecting connected smart devices from malware and viruses.

During this time, Gryphon is also offering special pricing of its products to Southern California teachers and schools through the Gryphon for Education program, in an effort to provide safe, secure, and fast internet access to all. This is a first step towards the planned launch of Gryphon Safe WiFi Zones, which will provide safe internet access to schools around the United States.

Southern California parents in need can apply to receive a free Gryphon Guardian by visiting online.

To apply to the Gryphon for Education program, faculty can apply on behalf of their school district by visiting online.
