Guide to Pearl Street Beach in Laguna Beach

Pearl Street Beach in Laguna Beach is another popular local beach hangout in Laguna Beach. What makes this beach special is its beautiful rock formations and great surf. My kids love spending their summer at Woods Cove Beach, but my husband loves spending his time at Pearl Street – what I love about it is that they are both just a short walk away so we can visit both beaches in the same day.

Where is it located?
If you did not know where to look for Pearl Street Beach, you would probably walk right past it. It is right at the end of a guard rail with super easy access for smaller kids. There is more of a ramp than stairs going to Pearl Street (another reason why my husband loves it). You can find it right at the end of Pearl Street and PCH. Now getting to it – I recommend coming off PCH and Agate since if you come down Pearl Street on PCH it is a one-way street making it harder to find parking. Come down Agate…make a left..and start looking for parking. (We normally just wind up parking up on PCH and walking down)

Why do we love this beach?
It is a super small beach and one lifeguard. When bringing younger kids to the beach, I always prefer a beach where the lifeguard has less kids to help watch. The beach has a lot to explore throughout the rock formations, and has the softest sand around.

Insider Tips
There is free parking spots throughout the neighborhood but you will need to arrive before 10am to get a free parking spot. We recommend bringing quarters and parking on PCH between Agate and Diamond at the meters. Bring your lunch because we guarantee that you will not want to leave until sunrise.
