Guide to St. Ann’s Beach in Laguna Beach

Guide to St. Ann's Beach in Laguna Beach

St. Ann’s Beach in Laguna Beach is one of the best local beaches to visit when looking for a less crowded beach on a hot summer day. St. Ann’s is located in between Thalia and Cleo Street Beach, so families can easily visit all three beaches in one afternoon. Before visiting St. Ann’s Beach in Laguna, read our family guide to help plan your day.

St. Ann’s beach is located at South Coast Highway and St. Anns Drive. Parking is a challenge. You need to arrive early, and find parking along PCH. These meters do not accept ATM cards, so bring plenty of quarters. You might have to park farther away than most beaches, so keep that in mind before visiting.

If your kiddos need to use the restroom, there is a lot of local businesses at the top of the stairs that they can use.

Insider Tips

The beach has a moderate surf. They can walk over to Thalia beach to watch the surfers (no swimming allowed) and then swim on their side of the yellow flag. There is often shade from the towering waterfront apartments, so I will opt out of a beach umbrella.

It is a small beach that is never very crowded. It has a lifeguard on the beach who is great about watching the kids along with you.

Bring plenty of sand toys and enjoy your day at St. Ann’s Beach!
