Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure

We attended a preview as a guest of Disney

For the first time, families can now experience the magic of Disney’s Halloween Time at Disney California Adventure Park. Families who purchase tickets to Mickey’s Halloween Party can create memories together in either Disney California Adventure or Disneyland during the three-hour pre-party mix-in. The excitement begins as guests first enter Disney California Adventure Park and are greeted by a giant silhouette of Oogie Boogie!

Then once inside of the park, guests will notice that Buena Vista Street has been decorated for the Halloween Season, and there are bats everywhere!

Cars Land has an all-new look for Haul-O-Ween! Mater, Lightning McQueen, Cruz Ramirez, and the Red Fire Truck are dressed in their favorite costumes. Guests can spot Mater cruising down Route 66 while dressed as a vampire, and capture a photo with their favorite car at the Cozy Cone Motel.

Speaking of the Cozy Cone Motel, Sally has been busy working hard to decorate the motel for Halloween. In her office, there is a miniature model of the “Brakes Motel” that is made out of candy! The cones have been turned into jack-o-lantern, and seasonal holiday treats can be purchased the motel.

Over at Flo’s V8 Cafe is a frightfully fun spider car where families can capture a keepsake photo. The spider car was once a “Toadmobile” from Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride that has been repurposed for the holiday season. Once inside of Flo’s V8 Cafe, guests can enjoy a Mini Candy Cone Pie or a Car-achnid Pot Pie.

Ramone is celebrating the Day of the Dead this year over at Ramone’s House of Body Art. He painted a car to look like a sugar skull, which he named Sugar, and she is parked right in front of the detailing shop. Inside, he built an ofrenda to celebrate the life of his friend, Doc Hudson.

Lizzie’s Radiator Springs Curious has a spooky look this holiday season. There is a zombie car in front of the shop that comes to life when guests will least expect it. If you look closely at the sign above the entrance, you’ll spot Miss Lizzie flying as “Old Witchy Miss Lizzie.”

Luigi’s famous tower of tires has been decorated to look like jack-o-lanterns. With Halloween being Luigi’s favorite holiday, the attractions features holiday music. Mater’s Junkyard JamBOOree also features festive new tunes, and Mater is dressed up like a mummy to capture photos with families.

Some other fun features to look for when experiencing Haul-O-Ween at Cars Land is Scary the Scare-car at the entrance of Cars Land, Sarge’s Pump-kin Patch, Fillmore’s Yard Art, and car-achnid spiders everywhere! Strange things are brewing over at the old courthouse where a mad scientist has hooked up some jumper cables bringing the building to life.

The Fun continues with families getting to experience the adrenaline pumping attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark.

While experiencing all the Halloween fun at Disney California Adventure, there are frightfully fun treats located throughout the park. Get some Vampire Mater Bread at Fillmore’s Taste-in or some Junkyard JamBOOree mix at the Cozy Cone Motel.

Your family won’t want to miss all the Halloween Fun happening at Disney California Adventure until October 31st. Happy Haul-O-Ween!
