Reliving Memories at The Harlem Globetrotters Show

HarlemGlobetrotters

I had an opportunity to relive a positive childhood memory through the eyes of my three kids watching the Harlem Globetrotter Show at the Honda Center in Anaheim. As a young boy, my Grandparents would take my cousins, and I to see the Globetrotters when they came to Los Angeles. I fondly remember laughing at the jokes and being amazed at the trick and dunks made during the game. The Harlem Globetrotter show had become an even more fun and exciting than it was when I was young.

We arrived at the Honda Center shortly before the show and purchased some treats to enjoy. Then we went to the seats and started to watch Globie (the mascot) warm up the crowd with his dancing and music show.

After Globie, entertained the crowd, the Globetrotters came on the floor and gave us an impressive show. They naturally spun the ball on their fingers and did other classic tricks with the basket ball. They then went for slam dunks and began to play the game while horsing around amongst themselves and with the referee’s. They create an interactive show by using twitter to have the audience pick the rules for the game.

The Harlem Globetrotters has some of the most hilarious one liners that are sure to put a person in a great mood.

As I sat watching the show, it took me back to last show I saw in the early 1980’s. I looked over and saw all three of my kids laughing and enjoying the show just as much as I did. The Harlem Globetrotters Show is a good opportunity for families to spend quality time with their children.

All three kids have now requested that the next time the Globetrotters are in town that we go to the show. This will now be a tradition with me, and my kids, as it was with my grandparents and I.

Steve is racer car, boat loving Dad with a love for adventure. When he is not bungie jumping off a bridge he is playing Monopoly with his kids or working on re-building a classic car.
