Heart Rock Waterfall Hike in Crestline
One of my favorite things about staying in Lake Arrowhead is all the beautiful hiking trails in the area. While on a recent getaway to the Lake Arrowhead Resort, we did the heart rock waterfall hike in Crestline.
The hike is just a short drive away from the Lake Arrowhead Resort, and perfect for families with young children. My daughter and I got into our Buick Regal GS and headed down the mountain to the start of the trail.
Finding the Trail in Crestline
Finding the trail was a little challenging. The GPS took us to the side of the road, and we were not 100% sure if that was the location of the trail. To find the trail, you’ll want to put Camp Seely into your navigation. At the entrance to the camp, you’ll see a small sign directing you to the trailhead.
Follow the small road until it dead ends. There you’ll find parking spots. Park your car, and begin the short hike.
Finding the Heart Rock Waterfall
If you hike when there is water, it will be easy to find heart rock. If you are hiking in the Spring/Summer, it can be a little challenging. At one point, I didn’t think we would find it. But we did. I am sharing this picture below.

Marks the spot of heart rock
I recommend taking a screenshot, you won’t have cell service on the hike. Heart rock is right behind this fallen tree. If you hike when the water is flowing, listen for the waterfall, it won’t be hard to find.
Once we found heart rock, I was in love with its beauty. It simply proves how much love can be found by exploring nature. After we took some pictures and admired heart rock, we hiked back to our Buick Regal.
How long is the Hike?
The hike is about a 20-minute drive away from the Lake Arrowhead Resort. It took my daughter and me about an hour to explore the trail. There are no hills, and it is perfect for families with little kids. It is about one-mile roundtrip.
Have fun exploring the Heart Rock Waterfall trail when staying at the Lake Arrowhead Resort.
