Holiday Cranberry Champagne Cocktail Recipe

Champagne 02

When getting ready to plan your upcoming holiday party, welcome your guests with a flavorful cranberry champagne cocktail. The recipe is simple to make and all the prep work can be done ahead of time to avoid added stress during your holiday party.

Feeling overwhelmed by what brand of champagne to purchase? ARIA is not only an affordable brand with an average pricing of $14 a bottle, but also boast sophisticated flavors. ARIA comes from the Penedes region of Spain outside of Barcelona from an estate that dates back to the 11th century. For this recipe, I used the ARIA Estate Brut because of its lively and refreshing tasting notes.

Cranberry Champagne Cocktail Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup fresh cranberries
1 cup sugar
1 bottle ARIA Estate Brut Champagne
saucepan
strainer
(cranberries for garnish)

Directions:

1. In a sauce pan cook the cranberries and sugar over medium heat. Cook until the cranberries have burst and there is a thick sauce. This will take approximately 5-7 minutes.

2. Then use a strainer to separate the shells of the cranberries with the thick juice. (You can keep this juice in your refrigerator for 1-2 days to make preparing the cocktail easy during your next event)

3. Pour champagne into a flute. Add 1 teaspoon of cranberry syrup. Garnish with 1-2 fresh cranberries.

4. Serve. Enjoy!
