Holidays at The Laguna Playhouse: Beauty and the Beast A Christmas Rose

We visited as a guest of the venue

Going to local theaters in Orange County is always something I love to do… especially at Laguna Playhouse. I have seen a few shows at Laguna Playhouse before and every single one of them I loved! When I found out that I was able to attend this year’s show, Beauty and the Beast the Christmas Rose, I was so happy.

Now, all of the shows I have seen at Laguna Playhouse have been panto’s. A panto is an interactive show where they talk to the crowd and try to get you to participate in every way possible. I love these types of shows because it feels as if you are in the show yourself.

This year’s show was Beauty and the Beast A Christmas Rose, and it was the perfect twist of Christmas and Beauty and the Beast. Throughout the entire show, my brothers and I were singing along to some of the well-known pop songs they decided to put in the show.

Another wonderful thing about this show was the cast they had. Some of my favorite people were in it such as Ashley Argota who was in “The Foster’s” and Roland Rusinek who played in “The Phantom of the Opera” in NYC Theater. Everyone in the show portrayed their characters perfectly, and each and every one of them had a beautiful voice.

This production is unlike anything that you have seen before. All of the songs are taken from pop songs that are popular today, and they fit them in perfectly with the story. There are some hilarious new characters added such as Louis Vuitton and Dame Derriere, and they will make you laugh every time they step on stage.

Beauty and the Beast: A Christmas Rose has performances all throughout December at Laguna Playhouse in Laguna Beach. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling (949)-497-2787. You are not going to want to miss this super fun, interactive show!
