Teen Review: Holly Star Christmas Movie

Screener provided

Since it doesn’t snow where I live, when Christmas rolls around the closest I can get to snow is watching a Christmas film with snow in it. Lucky for me my mom and I watched a movie where the snow was plentiful, and the story was priceless. Holly Star is the ultimate Christmas movie that has everything you would want. The friendly drama, the falling in love, the mystery, and my favorite…THE SNOW!!!

The movie is about a young puppeteer who loses her job and goes up to live with her parents for the holidays. There she slips on snow and has visions of Santa Claus burying a bag, and she is determined to find this bag. Along the way she reconnects with the boy she knew and strengths her friendships with the people around her. If you ask me it is the perfect movie to turn on the fireplace and cuddle up in a bunch of warm blankets too.

One of my favorite things about the film is the mystery that comes with it. Throughout the entire movie, I was wondering what the next clue was going to be for her mystery bag. It was so much fun following along as the memory unraveled.

Another thing that I absolutely loved in this film was the characters. From the crazy best friend to the loving grandma, there was not one character that was boring. Every time we met a new character in the film, there was some sort of spark that had everyone loving the new role. Not to mention that she was a puppeteer, so we did get to see some exciting puppet characters while watching. Each and every one of the puppets were carefully made, and the precision was perfect.

Holly Star is currently available for digital and video on demand. Don’t miss seeing this unique Christmas film this holiday season with your family.
