Horror Made Here – A Festival of Frights

We visited as a guest of the venue

We love all things Halloween during this season, probably because we’ve seen just about every horror movie made. So naturally, when we were invited to visit Horror Made Here – A Festival of Frights, we couldn’t wait!

If you love the movies and Halloween, plan a visit to the Warner Bros Studios where the back lot is transformed into a great evening of all things frightening. Walk toward one of the terrifying mazes as zombies, Freddy Krueger or Georgie surprise you when you least expect it. Note: you won’t just see one, you’ll think your eyes are playing tricks on you; we’re pretty sure you’ll see them everywhere. The Conjuring, A Nightmare on Elm Street or the IT Experience: Neibolt House all have just the right amount of things that go bump in the night.

IT Experience: Neibolt House was our favorite, as he led the group through fog-filled hallways, staircases to frightening rooms filled with clowns, red balloons, and Georgie seemed to lurk in the most unlikely places. As thrill seekers of haunts, it was awesome!

Take time to explore Stage 48: Script to Screen as you peer through a doorway to see the Annabelle doll, you feel goosebumps as she stares right through you; slowly rocking back and forth. Things get eerie on this stage as you see the twisted collections of props, costumes and all things haunted; especially Pennywise’s costume. Run!!

We all know movies are known for the effects, so we suggest taking a seat on the bus of the IT VR Experience. You’re invited to enter the sewers and Float for the full interactive experience; the lighting, you’ll feel the mist from the floor as you are taken through tunnels and rooms beneath the town. Be careful; Pennywise is waiting for you.

If you’re looking for something hauntingly different, we suggest Horror Made Here. A studio back lot where the magic happens is on to something by giving us a unique night of frights. In addition to all things scary, you’ll find music, food trucks, and cold beverages to help complete your evening. Once you’re in though, we hope you find you’re way back out. Boo!

The Horror Made Here – A Festival of Frights runs October 19th – 21st and again, October 26th – 28th from 6:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
